“I was in Windsor Heights June 30th, 2024 to do some shopping with a friend. When I realized I needed fuel, my friend suggested I get it at Sam's Gas Station because if I used her card it was the lowest price in town. I was very happy she allowed me to do that.”
“We moved to this pharmacy and we love it! They always are there to answer questions. They have everything ready quickly. They are no long waits. They are very diligent in what they specialize in and they easy to work with. Wish we’d switched years ago!!”
“The restaurant inside this store has some very good food!! Their Birria Tacos are very good!! Even without the sauce:)Back to the grocery store :) :) The employees are so very kind in my experience. I will have to check out more here:) I like to think I may he able to save some cash with this grocery outlet ? ?”
“It's the closest full service grocery store to my home and most of the north side neighborhood. It's prices are competitive and the workers seem to enjoy being part of their team . I shop there often and recommend it.”

606 Walnut St, Des Moines“Can't speak for the bad pharm stories since I rarely have used it. But the front desk folks working here - sometimes at the wee hours of the morning - always have been incredibly nice to me. Oftentimes, they will just ask if I need help out of the blue. It's all self-check out in the front (unless you want a human to help you), so it's no fuss. Huge selection, clean and friendly. What's not to like really? It's a Walgreens.”
“THE PERFECT PHARMACY!! I have been going here for years after getting tired of waiting in lines at large pharmacies to get my medicine and dealing with big company mistakes. This is a family owned business with great people where you don't wait in lines and they take care of you quickly. Any request you ask of them they take care of it quickly and get things done. Switch to this pharmacy and end your big company headaches.”
“Lover of all walgreens. They are pretty handy for being a "pharmacy".... I'd vote yes if they wanted to put a old style soda fountain area in them Walgreens!!!”
“I love going into the medicap pharmacy on Easton .the employees are very friendly and hard working.rumor has it they are going to down size this pharmacy.in my opinion that would be a big mistake.i really hope that doesn't happen .they all work very hard and they are always way busy when I go in .i think you will lose very good employees if you do this .yep just my opinion and I would hate to have to go to another store.”
“Mustafa G. At the customer service encounter is extremely professional, prompt and did a great job helping me today. So much easier than going to the post office!”
“Polite and pretty fast if you call around 2 hours before you go and ask them to pull your meds so they are ready when you get there. They are also friendly and knowledgable and easy to understand when you get a consultation.”

“The staff here is amazing! Wonderful, knowledgable and efficient. Sophia, Lillian, Alex and Nevin helped us with our flu shots and we had an excellent experience.”

420 Court Ave, Des Moines“This grocery store was within walking distance of our hotel (Hotel Fort Des Moines). It has everything you would need here including Starbucks. They have a great frozen food section as well as a wonderful bakery and meat/fish areas. We were able to get 24 waters for $2.99 which was fabulous. I was able to pick up some snacks for my kids as well as healthy items for myself. All the employees are friendly and helpful. You could basically find anything here you would need- sushi, wine, liquor area, hibachi and more. Also, you don't need to be a special member to enjoy the discounts some items might have!”
“I wish I'd thought to bring our medications to Sam's before, the team at the Windsor Height's Sam's Pharmacy is amazing. Not just with our normal household RXes but with our dog's meds. They answer all questions, are friendly and efficient. While we are no longer needing them, they were the best place to fill them and made it easier to coordinate the dog's multiple medications.”
“So, I think they are trying their best because at Pharmacy at Fleur had a pharmacy tech, she refused to give me her name, she was very rude, she told me the girls name I had given her-that I had spoke with the night before-she was incredibly kind and she realized, before I could even say anything, that I would be completely out of the medication if they went by what the temp nurse sent in, it would be at 31 days not 30-my Doc has always told me it’s due on the 30th day. So the girl I had spoken to on Sunday night who was so nice told me she wouldn’t be there until noon the next day so she would put the request to my Doc put out for them to send in the morning. The other girl who was also a pharmacy tech that I had spoken to on Monday-twice, said they didn’t have a girl that worked there by that name and the temp nurse had sent it in for the next day again and I still kept my composure. I asked her to pull out a calendar and count back to the day I picked them up and she refused-so I said, well you’re wrong and she said no I’m not and hung up on me! I called and left a voicemail for my Doctor on what was going on and then threw my phone down because I was starting to have anxiety attacks so the message I left was I don’t know what the hell is going on here, but it’s due today! About 15 minutes passed and I received a call from his regular nurse, she apologized profusely and told me it was waiting for me at that Hy-Vee, so I asked her what’s the deal with this girl who talked to me like that today, and she had some choice words for her so I just said thanks and went to pick it up. A completely different girl, who I know very well that if she sees me waiting in line, she will grab my meds and have them ready because I have been picking them up from there over 5 years-never picked it up early and I never requested it to be picked up early and they know that! So as she was ringing me up, there was no one behind me so I asked who it was that talked to me like that earlier in the day? As we were discussing this-again no one was in line-the male pharmacist came over, put his hand horizontal to her ear, whispering something and then he walked back to continue working on prescriptions. I couldn’t believe it! Then she got real short real fast with me so pretty obvious this Brad guy was talking about me. I turned bright red and walked away with my meds. This was on a Mon, I called Friday and spoke with the girl who was usually very nice to me and I was asking about a different medication and she snapped at me again? So I was just going to let it all go and then Army Post told me to look up the pharmacy policy such as rights and responsibilities for patients and same for pharmacy techs and pharmacists. I couldn’t believe it again! They want the patient to fill out a form so they can do a full investigation and they mentioned a lot of things that were opposite of what happened to me-namely that they are supposed to tell you their name, the pharmacist is NEVER allowed to speak to a pharmacy tech about a patient really unless it concerns only the medication but in bold letters that is NEVER allowed in front of the patient! I get there’s a few bad apples are out there, but after 5 years of picking this up, never early, I thought we had established trust just like my doctor and I have. So, I didn’t want to make a mountain out of a molehill and if I requested that investigation, no matter what the issue is, I just felt bad. One of the other pharmacists at Army Post said to give the head Pharmacist a chance, so I did. She was very nice on the phone and I could tell she was upset at her staff because all they had told her was the nurse sent it in for the 27th, nothing about the other stuff. Sorry for the lengthy post but we have enough issues in this world and this shouldn’t be one! I would read their policy online because usually, I always see those sets of rules when there’s been several incidents? Still deciding on what to do? I hope you all are well and God Bless ❤️❤️?”
“Service & pickup @ drive thru has been excellent. I always call ahead with request & check if processed before I pick up. Pharmacists & staff have been great help as of late & would highly recommend.”
“When I told your employee, Tim, that the product I had been looking for had been out of stock for a week, he went and got a forklift and pulled the pallet down and got me what I needed right then! I am so impressed. Excellent customer service!”
“I am coming from Walgreens to Medicap this year (Damn Insurance companies) I have to say it has been an easy transition, a very pleasant surprise and simply a breath of fresh (non stressful) air. Staff has been kind, courteous, professional, informative and most importantly, very communicative. Everything required of a good patient orientated business that "Other" pharmacy severely lack. ( * cough cough* WALGREENS *cough cough* ) Thank you and keep up those high standards!”
“Drive-thru is somewhat difficult because it only handles three cars before it fills up and spills into the parking lot, otherwise everyone is friendly and prompt?”

3151 SE 14th St, Des Moines“CVS for the win!!,I was using a different pharmacy and ordered my prescription a week before I was out. They said it would be ready on the 3rd of July. I go pick it up... still out. Panic set in and I called a different pharmacy, only to be told that my insurance wouldn't cover it there. (Express Scripts-worst insurance ever) it was late, and I wasn't able to get the prescription sent anywhere else, so had to wait for the 4th of July. I called CVS on SE 14th and they had my medication in stock and they took our insurance. Win, win! So, we jump in our car, drive 26 miles and get there with minutes to spare (shortened hours because of the holiday) and then to find out the last pharmacy hadn't sent my prescription over. I made a call, and finally the prescription was faxed. The pharmacist stayed to fill my prescription and was so accommodating!! She went above and beyond to help me out! It was greatly appreciated!! Would definitely recommend CVS! While there, I was actually amazed at how nice of a store this is. A very nice selection of items and their prices were reasonable. The cashier was very helpful too, and signed us up for the rewards card and was informative about how it works. I'm glad I didn't let the low reviews scare me away because this CVS was awesome!”

4605 Fleur Dr, Des Moines“I switched over for my adhd prescription here from another pharmacy that took 3 weeks because my meds were “out of stock” but hyvee had mine filled 4 hours after switching it over. The pharmacists were super sweet too, helped me get my insurance switched over, super kind.”
“Was using Western Union, and had to start over twice because the computer started me over. I don't know if it was because I was not typing for a minute or two waiting on information or what but it did it to me twice. Other than that the store is clean the clerks are friendly and willing to help.”
“Great pharmacy and grocery store... Has a vast variety of items and really great selection. Friendly staff and great fresh food. Fruit always seems fresh and well looked after. Shelves are always clean and well stocked. Hyvee wine and spirits is attached and easy interior access. Highly recommend this store.”
