Has a tiny selection of live pets at the back of store. I've only seen ferrets and fish. Inquire about anything else. Most interesting at the back of the store is their self serve pet wash. It was super clean and an amazing ? cause I hate bathing my pets in my tub. Clerks are helpful and sign up for rewards to save. Tons of free parking always accessible.

She is incredibly patient, always willing to answer my questions, and truly goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and informed. My cat is FIV positive, and Dr. Heyer took the time to thoroughly explain what that means, answering all of my concerns with compassion. She even checks in with us, which means a lot. If you’re looking for a vet who genuinely cares about your pet’s well-being, I highly recommend Dr. Heyer!

Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center
3836 Beaver Ave, Des MoinesI have a medical problem child who in her almost 9 years of life has had medical issues of one sort or another almost the whole time. Her medical records are in book form and she has her own medicine cabinet.? With her latest issue our hometown vet was giving us the runaround and prescribing even more pills and crossing their fingers. Nothing helped. Ok we're done here. Found the Wellness Center on line, called for an appointment and got in almost right away. The Doc checked her out and told me of the tests they could run but they weren't equipped to do an endoscope which is what was probably needed to be done to get to the bottom of her problem. The Doc referred us to another clinic that could do this and so ended our visit here. Needless to say I was disappointed because I really thought we'd finally get some answers. We did however get connected with the other clinic a couple of weeks later and this doctor came through for us. Angel was diagnosed with mega esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, and a uti More meds, a new diet plan and a different way of doing things and Angel is doing much better! And I have to applaud the Wellness Center even though we were only there that once because instead of running us through the ringer like our hometown vet she pointed us to where we needed to go. It truly shows that her patients well being is No. 1. And with that I thank her and her staff!

They didn't hesistate to get her in and stayed past closing to get her fixed up. They whole staff was extremely kind and you can tell they really care about your pets. Not only was Mike helpful in guiding us as first time dog owners even before boarding our dog but the training we did was fantastic as well as the subsequent boarding! Our dog is very well trained and behaved. I’ll admit she was not a problem dog to begin with but her behavior after the training is incredible! So much better than what we could have done on our own. I highly recommend all dogs unleashed to anyone thinking about professional training!! They do really, seriously good work! Love them!!!

I do not like the regular frosting but I do like their cream cheese frosting,so I got the ape pie style with cream cheese instead of cinnamon frosting. There is a big enough size you can eat half and save thr other half for the next day. I liked this one a lot, the apple provides a little bit of freshness and acidity that kind of cut down the closing sweetness of the rest of the roll. My four year old selected the smores style one and split it with his dad. It was a big sugary choco pile which they both were quite happy with. I don't think their rolls are as good as homemade, they are definitely lower quality than a real bakery. But still good for a once in awhile treat on the go or when a craving hits, especially at half off price:)

Their drink choices are solid, my favorites are the Honeybee or any of their teas. They have great lunch options! They mostly have salads and sandwiches, but all very tasty and the portions are great for the price. The best part is their wide assortment of baked goods. The cookies and pinwheels are top notch and their various croissants are always a strong pick. I come here at least once a week, if not more. Highly recommend.

Grounds for Celebration is truly worth celebrating. They have a nice cozy, yet friendly and welcoming environment.
I ordered a seasonal blackberry lavender white Mocha iced coffee and it was PHENOMENAL. Very tasty and well made. Prices are reasonable as well. They also have a wide variety of food items and pastries to choose from.
From the moment you enter you smell sweet treats and fresh coffee. They have a calm vibe playlist in the background that keeps some white noise rolling.
There are plenty of tables and chairs as well as love seat type chairs along the fireplace. This sets a nice relaxing ambiance with the sunlight coming in and the stone fireplace as a center focus. Very cozy for the winter time as well.
Along the walls and on some shelves when you enter they have local art, cute earrings, some tshirts, coffee cups, and other novelty items.
I came here to read my book but they have magazines, newspapers, and other materials to skim through. There were a group of people there playing cards who seem to use this as a meeting spot. Honestly why not? It’s such a welcoming spot to be at.
Plenty of free parking outside. Seating is also outside if it wasn’t 100 degrees, but they keep it nice and cool inside.
