I would strongly recommend not using this facility. They did not help with my issues. My concerns were brushed off & I definitely felt like they did not care they just wanted me in and out. I ended up having a mass on my left Fallopian tube they never found. They never offered to do any type of testing or suggested a referral. I was advised to change my diet and offered birth control. My insurance was not charged correctly and they are now trying to sue me for $1,259.34. Please review other options and seek care elsewhere.

This is a worst ObGyn i’ve ever seen. They only cares about the money. I’ve had a Tubal surgery with 3 incision last years. At that time I was still in pain and i went to clinic for a check up but they told me we already discharged you from the hospital. So we can’t do anything about it. I didn’t get any treatment for my surgeries.

If I could give a -100 review I absolutely would. I paid $25 for them to complete my FMLA paperwork on January 22nd 2024. I handed my papers to the ladies at the front desk along with my payment(which is what you're supposed to do). I called and left a message for someone to call me and give me an update. Stephanie was the one who called me back today 2/13/24, she is the one who does the paperwork basically told me that she never received the paperwork. Granted it is definitely NOT her fault as I handed the paperwork to the front desk and they were supposed to give her the paperwork. BEYOND stressful and frustrated with the front desk staff. Not only did they lose my paperwork now I have to start all over. Also don't try calling the front desk to schedule appointments, they never answer it goes to voicemail. Once you leave a voicemail it takes someone 2 days to return the call. UNACCEPTABLE. If you're pregnant and are looking into this office I would RUN the other direction. Highly discouraged and disappointed in the front desk staff at the downtown location.

I had a fantastic experience here. The staff was welcoming and professional, and the doctors were attentive and knowledgeable. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend Kamarin Allen for anyone seeking quality healthcare!

Avoid this place. Don't expect to have anyone answer the phone ever to schedule/reschedule an appointment. I've been trying to reschedule an appointment I missed for going on two weeks now. No call backs even if you leave a message either. Also, if you have paperwork for FMLA or short term disability don't expect that to be done either. Your job will be on the line because of this office's own inaction.I turned in disability paperwork beginning of January and now it's the end of January and it's still not done. With a turnaround time of they say "7-10 business days". $25 for them to fill out by the way.If I wasn't so far along in my pregnancy I would switch providers.

This is the first poor Google review I've ever given because I understand people have bad days, and there are many circumstances outside of our control. But I've had repeat bad experiences here. This week I had an annual exam. My appointment was supposed to be at 2 pm. I waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Then, I waited in the exam room for over 30 minutes. The doctor came in at 2:52 pm, as I was getting up to leave because no appointment should start that late. I expressed how concerning it was that she was so late. I was given a quick apology and told the exam would be quick. While I was mid pap-smear, a nurse threw the door open without knocking, exclaiming "Am I too late?". I have no idea what she was referring to but the abrupt entry when I was in a vulnerable position was deeply unprofessional. This was my fourth appointment at this clinic and every appointment has started late, increasingly so with each visit. This is a solvable problem that is clearly happening to others based upon reviews. I will be transitioning care to a different clinic.

Updated all my address, phone number at appointment - waiting on blood work results, over 5 days, called and they had my old number on file - It was never updated ! Then I called the nurse and she asked me about my ultrasound! Their Excuse - We are very busy with patients! I am a patient too - This clinic is too big with too many patients, felt lost in the shuffle.

During my last pregnancy I switched to obgyn associates of Des Moines and I had a great experience with them and have since switched my gyne needs to them as well! I unexpectedly developed pre eclampsia my last pregnancy, my blood pressure sky rocketed to 182/110 and they very swiftly sent me to the hospital for monitoring and scheduled me for a c section two days after once we hit 37 weeks (I had to have one with my previous pregnancy so this was the safest option for baby and me) and it went perfectly. It was great to know they were taking care of not only my baby’s safety, but mine as well! Following my pregnancy I’ve been seeing them as well for my annual visits and such. Dr. Dornbier saw me for my pregnancy, but he has since retired- he was a great doctor. I now follow with Dr. Jenkins and she is fantastic, very caring and will listen to you and answer your questions. I’ve also had visits with their ARNPs and they are amazing as well. All their providers are- Dr. T, Dr. Schuchmann, all of them!! You can’t find a better practice :)

I have had two babies via c-section with this practice and have partnered with every doctor. All of them have provided me with amazing care!! I will continue to use them in the future. This practice is worth it!

I've had 3 appointments at this clinic and will no longer use them for my prenatal care. The first appointment started 30 mins late. The 3rd appointment, I was taken back to the exam room and the doctor was 45 mins late. That is a huge amount of time to wait for a doctor. Dr. D doesn't listen at all to you. I told her I was struggling to eat due to morning sickness and she told me I should still try to eat certain foods (rice, mac & cheese) even though I told her multiple times that they make me throw up.

Dr. Phelps very rude, unprofessional and has the wring attitude in this practice, he didn't even want to listen to my baby's heart rate, he said the baby heart sounds very faint, I said yes because he is running away from you, (clearly that's what babies do in any ultrasound and listening to baby heart rates, they run and curl up) however the practice itself Failed to call me to tell me that the midwife wasn't seeing me and canceled on me, then I had to keep getting up to the front desk to see what the hold up was the front desk staff finally tells me what happened after an hour of sitting there waiting on how unprofessional that was...... Second visit coming back to this place, one of the staff had a drink dropped off by her husband or boyfriend, she wasn't even working the front desk but one of the front desk works directed their full attention on her coworker and the drink besides helping me, the other front desk person sat their looked at me and looked away pretending to be sooo busy... All I needed was to just get checked in But they both over looked me , saw someone else walk on and greeted them with open smiles, so I had to immediately step in and say which one of you will be checking me in????? The one on the left asked the question you're checking in? I said nothing but just stood their and looked at her like what do you think? When I clearly just said it. Once I gave her my information to check me in, the other front desk person on the right side just looked at me with an annoyed look on her face. 1st off if you do not like your job or do not like checking in people of color then do not take the job. Its your job to greet, collect information and go on to the next person it's just that simple. I'm so glad I changed clinics and everything I will never return back to this location as long as I live. I wouldn't even recommend anyone to come here.

Dr. Fagerland delivered my baby in 2021. He didn’t tell me that he did an episiotomy (found out from my husband, confirmed it with another doctor weeks later). He also didn’t tell me that I had a 4th degree tear (which I think happened because of the 2nd degree episiotomy he did). I had to ask the nurse to find out I tore, and she wasn’t even sure what degree it was. I’m still traumatized by the experience almost 2.5 years later. I felt like all of my control was taken away from me. I still don’t even know why he did the episiotomy. It didn’t say in his notes and I couldn’t stand the thought of making an appointment with him to find out. I will never go back there.
