My friend was in your store today to get new crutches. He had a written order to get his crutches from his Dr.. He was treated very rudely by a female sales representative. She did not help him, told him Humana was not one of the cos that would buy his crutches. He was told by her he could only buy with cash the crutches. He said she was the rudest rep he'd ever dealt with. NuCara needs to provide there employees customer service classes.

Everytime I call this location the ladies who answer the phones are always in an awful mood & have an attitude. First We thought well everyone has a bad day here and there, But then we notice it's every time we call. ( we as in our company)5 star rating for the one lady who actually works there & is very helpful! She's amazing.

I have been battling for 2 weeks now to just get a replacement nasal pillow, because mine is defective, factory defective! Because of that I'm not getting adequate sleep. I have been told it's my insurance's website portal that's down and it's a problem on my insurance companies side, and not their side. They'll only dispense my supplies I'm due for unless I pay out of pocket! I'm disabled, I am not made out of money!They're aware of the issue, so why aren't they trying to help their clientele by giving the customer a phone number to call or something? Or maybe actually be actively working on fixing it themselves by working with the insurance company? Cause all I was told was "it's not a them issue so there's nothing they can do."If you are told to go through nucara, beg, plead with your provider for literally anyone else because they're not going to help you here.

I got a rollator from them about 10 to 11 months ago. No one discussed my physical/disability needs, just handed me the rollator and had me sign papers. One of the brake cables broke and when I called to see about getting it repaired they said they have no warranties & it would cost $30.I got a new order for a rollator from my new Dr and this time got it from Unity Point Home. They have a 1 year warranty for parts and repairs.I will get all of my durable medical goods from Unity Point Home in Clive from now on.

I have been using Hammer / Nu-Cara for 17 years and have appreciated their business. When I order my medical supplies, I usually get them in the mail in two days. But two times in the last three months, I hadn't received my order in five or more days, so I recalled them only to find out that someone had forgotten to send in the order. The first time it happened I ended up going to urgent care for a UTI because of the delay. I'm not sure what has happened, but I may have to change from Nu-Cara to a different vendor.

I called needing to rent a lift chair for a month....I was told they would require two months up front and the 2nd month paid is non refundable. Nice racket, no thanks....keep the fist.

I bought a floor model chair which I scheduled delivery for on a certain day. Then I had to postpone and asked to reschedule. I was told delivery would call and set it up. A week went by and I was not contacted so I called to set a date. The manager rudely told me they were coming on a Wednesday and I should have known that. She talked to me as if I was a small stupid child. Apparently these people do not like being in business so I cancelled the chair and went elsewhere. This place is a waste of time and money.

Amazing service! I was in town and need a copy of my CPAP usage and Todd Sears was my hero. Not only did he complete it in record time and printed out copies, he did it with a smile and true professionalism. Thank you Todd for your outstanding customer service. Highly recommend, there people are service with a smile, hard to find in this day and time!
