I love my child’s teacher! I like walking into my child’s class and seeing her art work along with photos of what she’s been doing throughout the month. The teacher has wonderful communication from telling me my daughters almost out of formula or addressing something she may have a concern about or letting me know she’s hitting milestones at daycare. I know that my child is well taken care of at this daycare. The management there is also very friendly, when I had questions about the bill they sat me down and kindly walked me through payment options. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We love the new management team, Ms. Nichelle and Ms. Christina. They are so friendly and make sure to address my children on arrival and departure every day. My children's classrooms are blossoming with curriculum and I can tell they are learning and doing activities on a daily basis. I'm able to get updates on all my children's activities and receive pictures of them playing and having fun. I can't imagine having them go anywhere else!

Love NHA! My son was struggling at his last center and we were constantly told that he was a bully and was mean to the other kids. We decided to switch to NHA and he has grown so much! From day one haven't had any complaints like we had at the old center. He loves his teachers and won't leave without hugs daily! The admin staff have been phenomenal since starting and have ensured our kid's safety. Can't recommend enough!

We appreciate the work that Ms Christina and Ms Nichelle have put into making NHA the great childcare center it is today. Both our daughters have attended NHA (our youngest still there) and we can't say enough positive things about the teachers' commitment to their development. It is obvious how much the staff cares just watching my daughter's engagement with everyone (beyond her classroom teachers) when we pick up and drop off. Administratively, Ms Christina and Ms Nichelle have gone above and beyond to answer any and all of our questions and have been selfless when accommodating our needs.

The staff here has been nothing short of amazing. From the director down, I have felt that my son was in the best care and was with people who genuinely loved and cared for him. Everyone of his teachers takes the time to get to know my son, his quirks and his motivations and works with him to grow. Music, art, crafts, science and play all make this school the premiere school for young children in Downtown DSM.

New Horizon Academy Downtown is a GREAT place to work!! Although I have only been here since February, this place already feels like my second home :) I love how far we have come as a center in such a short amount of time and am looking forward to growing our center even more in the future. If my children were still young enough to attend I would definitely enroll them here! If you are looking for quality child care this is your place to go!

It has been about 4 months since our voluntary removal from this center.....This is a decent After school care only if you have a 'typical' child....I have a special needs kiddo and their staff is obviously not trained to handle nontypical children. They knew of her physical limitations and accepted our registration nonetheless and convinced me they could handle her situation.... They did "try" and the new director there was very understanding of my concerns after the first time my child got hurt. But I had to remove my child from their care after the 2nd time she got hurt from adult negligence, she fell on her elbow so hard I feared it was broken/it instantly turned black and blue..... The staff just wouldn't listen to the new director on how to handle my child's physical limitations...to be honest one of the staff seemed pretty incompetent to me, the new director even knew which staff member wasn't listening to their demands to rectify the situation so my child wouldn't keep getting hurt.......The thing is, if they aren't able to care for a child with special needs, just say so. Or get rid of the staff that keeps on having my child get hurt. Simple you'd think, right?.......Many centers have turned me away because of their lack of training in that area. Just be upfront to the parent. That would have been the honest/professional thing to do. I would have given them a 1 star except for the new director's effort to get their staff in proper order. So, I give a 3 star for their effort in remedying the situation.

Absolute worst care! Mistakes can happen but to lie about giving food to my grandson that he is allergic to, BEYOND unacceptable. Then did not administer epi while he walked around all day with a bright red allergic reaction on his face and around his eyes. Do not leave your children with such ignorant reckless people!!!

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. It’s ridiculous at the fact they fed my godson food that he is allergic to and lied about it! Don’t bring your children here. They will neglect them and not properly take care of them. Unacceptable behavior!

My daughter has been in the 4 yr old/5 yr old preschool program and she loves it. She's been going 3 days out of the week, and I've seen a huge improvement in her learning and social skills. Every week it seems like she's talking about something new she learned. There's times where the kids have the choice to choose a "center" which can be either reading, drawing, legos, etc. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant to deal with. I especially like the tadpole app that gives updates on their activites and even posts pictures during the day. Overall very well run!

After accepting our child they contacted us 5 days before she was supposed to start to tell us she no longer had a spot. I would not trust them with caring for my children. They were rude and obviously disorganized. Our child has a medical waiver for vaccinations, they knew this for some time but waited until five days before her first day to tell us this was against their policy. It is against state law not to accept a medical waiver.
