Staff are super friendly, vet is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, prices are very fair, and I never have to wait more than a couple of days for my cats to be seen. My cats are always always well taken care of

First and foremost, all 4 stars are for the veterinarian and the veterinarian SOLEY. The Dr is friendly, knowledgeable, and tactfully appropriate. Doc gets 4 stars.
The one star removed is for Ashton- the lead vet tech. This woman is literally socially inept and unprofessional. I sh@t you not, she told me that my $9k champion UKC dogs are not a legitimate recognized breed??♂️. Ok, whatever, you're just a $15/ hr vet tech with a 6 month certification... Maybe you need to read some Dale Carnegie to understand your position here a bit better??? Literally, nobody asked you about my dogs pedigree, and further- it's not your concern. Customers come here to speak to a physician, not a community college know it all with an inflated ego and a complete lack of clinical knowledge.
We have been here 6+ times and find the veterinarian to be knowledgeable, personable, and relatable. Ashton is consistently condescending, incorrect, and impersonal.
Plainly - This office would offer better, more personable, solution oriented, and clinicly correct service without this employee.
As a physician myself, I have taken time to write this review to encourage her dismissal from this enterprise.
It should be noted that as a means to protect my professional identity that this review is written under a fictitious name and account.

This is the only veterinary clinic I will ever take my cat to! Dr. Thatcher is wonderful and answered all of my questions along with providing additional helpful information. The office is cute and inviting, the rest of the staff is great, and the price for my cats check up was more than fair. Would recommend!!!

I took my three cats in today to establish care, and could not be more impressed with Dr. Thatcher and her staff. Everyone was so welcoming and kind to me and my kitties, and Dr. Thatcher was very thorough in explaining everything to me. I’m so happy I decided to choose this clinic for the care of my babies.

We brought our kitty here for the first time today, my dad recommended this vet because he had such a great relationship with them when he had our dog. We were very impressed. Very humble, very honest. Our cat absolutely loved them! She came home very happy! Amazing.

We have my doctoring for our cats with Hickman Road Vet for several years now and we love them! They take great care of our cats and are incredibly affordable even without pet insurance! We will continue to doctor here as long as possible and we recommend them to friends and family.We love the staff and that they think of us (sending us cards and whatnot during the holidays).

So I just got off the phone with one of the employees. I have never been more angry my cat dislocated her jaw yesterday and I was trying to call and see what my options where she didn't answer any of my questions, she told me if I couldn't afford the surgery I should take her to an animal shelter. I am really really angry with this place they have no idea how to help or answer important questions. I got no help with my situation I will never come here again.

My pets have had a great experience with Dr. Thatcher and her team. When either walking in the clinic, or meeting in the parking lot during COVID, I always felt the team cared about my pets. They took the time to answer all my questions, and when my senior pets required specialty services they referred me to resources in the community that were high quality, and met our needs.At our first appointment with Dr. Thatcher, my senior cat had a blast exploring the exam room prior to his check-up. He climbed on the bench to watch the fish, then peeped out the window to see the birds at the feeder. They put a cozy non-slip mat on the metal exam table to keep my kitty from slipping and sliding, then they even sent him home with a toy! At Hickman Road Veterinary Clinic they do a lot to help your pets feel safe, and that means a lot to me!
