MY Review of ServiceMaster by Rice, alleged fleecing of elderly customers was never posted by BBB of Des Moines.They apparently prefer to partner with businesses rather than assisting people who are trying to find trustworthy businesses.

Useless. Every time I reach out, they can't help. What's the use of them being there if they won't do anything? And I sent an email over 2 days ago. Ignored.

Better business bureau was a complete waste of my time, did absolutely nothing on my behalf, seems to be completely on the side of the thieving companies as with any form of government control anymore . I went ahead and started a lawsuit today which seems to be my only recourse. When you hire someone for almost 9,000 dollars for a driveway and it's going to cost almost 15,000 dollars to now correct it, something should have been done

Tectum Roofing just completed my new roof. They did an amazing job. I would recommend them to anyone needing to replace their roof. They were professional, polite, meticulous and thorough., upfront about everything they did. They went over and above the standard. They came up witha prospectus that was perfect for my situation. They even fixed things that the roofers who did my roof last year screwed up. At no extra cost. Can't say enough good things about TECTUM

Back in January of 2022 my husband needed a new phone. We paid the deductible and waiting for the phone. He was able to use the old phone until the new one arrived. When we received the new phone we packaged up the old phone and sent it to Assurion. 3 months later and they have told us 3 different time that they received the package, but no one has checked the phone in. So they keep sending us a bill for the old phone. All three times we’ve called the T-Mobile employee has talked to an Assurion employee and verified that they received the package. However, I guess that’s not good enough because T-Mobile is demanding we pay for the old phone. I’m so frustrated and I never had these problems when Sprint was our carrier. All the customer service agents have apologized, but yet nothing gets done.I miss Sprint.Frustrated Customers

Earlier this year I requested a contractor to build us a deck. I was surprised we had so few responses, but we have been very happy with the company we hired, Mucu’s Exterior LLC. We were contacted immediately by Midwest Construction and they came out to give us an estimate right away. However didn’t hear back from them, so my husband contacted them and he was told, oh yea I’ll get to that today. We didn’t hear from them again. We hired Mucu’s and they built a quality beautiful deck! Very pleased with their work and would highly recommend.

Was told my new small business couldn’t join because i have a OWI on my record. I guess if you make mistakes in life you can be judged by those who are perfect and those who can ruin your business if you upset them. Pretty sad.

The BBB provides are needed service to the business community and the community as a whole. Without BBB oversight business could get away with false product claims and poor service. The BBB provides accountability. Thank You BBB!
