amazing place to both work and shop,great prices great selection,lovable pets and kids carts for them to help,plus they sharpen and maintain tools and equipment (lawnmower, chainsaw s,etc )big selection of rental tools at a great price,locksmith company,and usually popcorn

I always try to support smaller, local businesses and usually don't mind some of the cons that come with that. No mask policy a year into a pandemic. Employee with no mask at the entrance. Customers with no masks walking around in those tine isles. When I asked an employee about their mask policy what appeared to be a buddy of said employee called me SS (as in a N***** Asked to speak to a manager (outside), of course there wasn't one, but the person I did speak to didn't seem to care either way. The employee who's buddy called me a N*** walked outside, flipped me off and told me to f-off. So yeah, not really impressed with this store. However, if you like paying way more and being told off by the employees, this is the store for you!!!

The service is fantastic. They are ready to help with so much knowledge. I love the new addtion with plants, succulents, candles and fun decor. Great store with great people. And Monty the dog is pretty cool too.

Three men were just waiting to help me find string early on a Saturday morning, PLUS there was free popcorn! BONUS purchase of two reasonably priced greeting cards right near the register. ACE understands how men DO! This store has survived in the Waveland neighborhood for many years. Let's hope it stays afloat for many more.

Today I was going to buy a couple planters and some weed spray and when the clerk told me the price I said that can't be right. I thought the planters were $3something and they rang up at $6.59. The clerk didn't even offer to check the shelf price and when I said I didn't want them, he had already ran my credit card. Now I have to wait for 3-5 days for a refund. SMH..... Customer service has gone down hill

The older guy at the front end & also cashier was one of the Most unfriendly guys ever experienced. NO customer service . No Help. Nothing good At all .... very expensive .

I needed a piece of plastic patio edging cut. I brought it in and they surprised me by cutting it for free! I already give them lots of business but you better believe I'll be giving them even more of my business after the great customer service they gave me tonight. Thanks guys!!'

No one wants to be of any help and to make it worse the two men working were (and always are) extremely ridiculing to both my elderly mother and myself. We've wanted to stay local and stay at this Ace, but today was the last straw after my mom went into the store and came out in tears because an African American man and a younger man (who appeared to be drugged) laughed at her questions and flat out refused to answer her questions and made specific ridiculing remarks at her and about her. We will no longer be coming to your store and we will make it well known in our neighborhood and among our friends how very degrading this store is.

I don't travel to this Ace Hardware often but this store has the option to have your 20 lb gas tank refilled. The price is usually $25/$27. I've also grabbed a few items to keep my apartment in tip-top shape. Overall a small store but the staff is always friendly and very helpful.

The employees there are so nice. I needed a tool to get a stripped bolt out to replace license plates. Andy came out and replaced the plate itself. That is cutomer service and the best $2 ever spent. Just the cost of the screws. Wow

Always help and nice. Even though I don't even live in Des Moines anymore I still come back to Park Fair for all my household needs because good customer service is worth the drive over.
