“Jay Lundberg is an exceptional dealer. I have been car shopping for about 2 weeks and the 2 dealerships nearby continuously had issues. I was already frustrated because I felt like my time was already being wasted by these other 2 dealerships (just not being up front honest, hard to reach/contact) and my significant other helped me out to find the perfect car for me. Smart Hyundai of Davenport was quite a drive for us - about 4 hours roundtrip. I went with my cousin and a friend - when we got there, Jay had the car ready for us and started showing us its features and thoroughly explained it. Jay is very knowledgeable - which is something I did not get to experience from the previous dealerships I have been to. At least not the level of expertise that Jay had. Jay has a very calming demeanor and confident - it made it easy for me to understand the process.
After the car purchase, Jay followed up by calling me and asking about the car's performance. I received a couple more phone calls which I missed because I was at work! I would definitely recommend anyone who's getting a car from this dealership to go to Jay. He is a star employee and deserves a raise! :)

As for the finance guy, I believe there could be come improvement in knowing how to establish rapport with the customers. English is not my first language and if someone talks or explains things too fast, I need them to slow down. You wouldn't want to do such a huge purchase without fully understanding the terms, do you? There was also an attitude that I did not like. I am a very nice person and almost never complain but I had to leave this comment - would have been a deal breaker if it wasn't for Jay's professionalism.

“Kunes was the first place I stopped at to start my car search. Patrick was cordial and answered my questions about the vehicle I purchased. After visiting another place afterwards and taking a test drive, I called Patrick and told him that I would return later that afternoon.
Once I returned to Kunes, I met with A.J. to work up the purchase agreement to buy the vehicle. It was all class from start to finish.”

“I blew a tire and was running on a spare late in the day on Good Friday, and most tire shops were closed or closing. On a whim, I searched junk yards in the area, and dialed up the first one that came up. It was after hours, but I happened to catch the owner as he is as stopping in to finish something up. Even though he was technically closed for the day, he was so very kind and eager to try to help me find what I needed. Not only did he find a quality tire for me right away, but he stayed to load it into my vehicle and wished me a Happy Easter and sent me on my way (free of charge!). This is a perfect example of what I missed so much when living in Arizona for the last almost 7 years ..Midwest people are the BEST kind of people! I don't enjoy the cold weather, but it sure reminded me how nice it is to be back home in the Midwest! I highly recommend this place!”

“Allan Pairrett is the best service manager. Had problems with my convertible top just after purchase and he and Brian Nunn figured it out.
A few months ago, my check engine light appeared as I passed the dealership. Allen stated that a restart with no check engine light reappearing may indicate a gas problem. Problem solved.
Today, Allan and a mechanic determined that road noise which was driving me nuts was a garage door opener I placed in the car. Love this dealer!!!”
