This is a great place to come when you're in a budget! The staff was super sweet and they were upfront about charges. We had a clerk that even gave us her own rolaids! They were very thoughtful and i enjoyed their company.Pool was great but a tad on the chilly side for me. There is no continental breakfast. You have to pay for it to be delivered up to your room for you. At any other hotel chain it comes free of charge. If you wanted housekeeping they have a strict schedule. Our room was awesome! We had a whole dinette set(no idea that's what I booked) and the bed was comfy. Was completely clean and not a piece of trash to be found. Only wish we had a better view. Wouldn't mind staying again.

This place is perfect. So clean and comfortable. The rooms are outstanding with a full size fridge and stove. The pool is clean and very well kept. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a birthday party for kids at my stay. Will definitely be back:)

I believe the room I was in was previously rented to a guest that had a dog, cuz the room smelled of dog. The hotel was booked so I was stuck in that room. I have been going to this hotel for some time now an it seems to be going down hill. I will probably try the one in Omaha next time.Rooms: The room smelled of dog…I don’t have animals so I was disappointed.Nearby activities: Movie theater in the same parking lot an a go kart place close by, an casinosFood & drinks: Lots of food places to go to in walking distance

Edit: Changing my previous rankingPreviously gave this place a 5 star review, but as you can see, that has changed. I have stayed at this place a couple times because when I go to see shows in Council Bluffs, I dont want to drive home at midnight because I have vision issues while driving at night. Friday night, I had gone to see a show at the Westfair amphitheater and then after the show, went to check in to the room we had reserved WEEKS ago and the woman at the front desk refused to take our reservation because my driver's license address is in Omaha and they "don't cater to locals". I understand hotels that have that policy, but they need to understand that now everyone gets to see that this is the kind of place that will cancel a two week long reservation in the middle of the night just because the front desk goblin doesn't like the fact that you're dressed like you came from a metal concert. Disgusting. It's fine to have policies, it is not ok to leave people high and dry at the last second, so now, I'm changing my 5 - star review to a 1.

UPDATE 8-13-23: Even though they refused to let us check in, they still charged us. When I tried to call, they would pick up, not reply when I said hello, and hang up. The generic reply they give unhappy reviewers is indicative of their unwillingness/inability to resolve problems, even if they caused them. Disheartening...ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've stayed here multiple times in the past and had a reasonable experience. Not this time.We had reservations set at least a week before as I usually do.It was rather late and I had just come back from an all-day outdoor event and just wanted to shower and sleep...Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk seemed to be looking for a reason to turn me away despite my polite demeanor. (I believe in being kind to service industry staff even if they come off as less than professional. It's just good manners.) I know I wear a lot of black clothing but that is no reason to pass judgement on a stranger who has done nothing wrong.Anyway, I told her that we had reservations and just needed to check in.She didn't ask for ant reservation information and simply demanded an ID. She hardly glanced at it immediately said "sorry, we don't rent to locals." Nothing else. I live in Nebraska. This hotel is in Iowa. I am not a local. She just kept saying that this is what the manager told her. She didn't even look up the reservation or offer up any info or help besides that. (What if a loc had just lost their home to a fire or some other emergency situation? I cannot make this make sense at all.)I've stayed here several times in the past year with zero issue. The website says nothing about this "policy" at all. No posted sign in the lobby hinted at this. I've never in my life heard of such a policy and it sounds completely made up just to get rid of someone she doesn't approve of. Not a very good industry to work in if that's the way you behave towards guests. She was clearly discriminating against me and wanted absolutely nothing to do with me or my business. I still cannot believe that this happened and I'm extremely disappointed, hurt, and embarrassed...I ended up having to make a last second booking at a MUCH nicer Marriott hotel across the street near the MAC for just a little more than what we would have paid at My Place. The man there treated me with the same respect as he probably would a man in a business suit. His smile alone gave me a sense of relief. A huge difference in experience. They had much better 24 hour food options too.As of now, I cannot recomend this establishment to anyone and will inform everyone I know about what happened if this problem isn't resolved.I'd like to hear from someone about this issue as I did like staying here in the past. This occurred on the night of August 4th 2023 for reference.

Don’t stay here! This place is literally on the wrong side of the tracks. In a run-down, scary area - near a packing plant. The hotel is also run-down / not kept up. We had to clean food off the table in our room when we arrived. Furthermore, we reserved a king-sized bed, but they gave us a room with two queens. I asked the front desk attendant (Sarah) to have the manager (Misty) call me, but she never did. Sarah said Misty would be there the next morning, and I could talk to her then. When we went to check out, there wasn’t anyone at the front desk. There was a sign with a number to call if you needed someone, which I did.Staci answered, and had an instant attitude (she was nicer when she came out to talk). Staci said the manager is never there on the weekend, and that I’d have to call the following Monday. She also told us that we were lucky to get a room at all (even though we had a reservation for months), and it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t the room we reserved / paid for. What!?!? Anyhow, do yourself a favor, and keep scrolling for other options! This is NOT where you want to stay.

Great value— clean rooms and facilities, good amenities, and friendly service. We would stay here again! The hotel is in Council Bluffs and not far from Downtown Omaha. It’s within walking distance of some shops, and right next to an IMAX AMC. Plenty of parking. Nice pool; it’s a little small, but clean (especially for an hotel pool) and the pool space has lots of windows for ventilation, seats and chairs. There’s a couple common area bathrooms, both clean. Our room was so spacious! Breakfast isn’t included and you can order it if you want, but the room had a full-size fridge, microwave, stovetop, toaster, and sink. We made our own breakfasts. There’s an ice maker in the freezer. The walls seemed a bit thin, but our neighbors were all respectful and we slept great. Beds aren’t particularly firm but still comfortable enough. We had two queens and paid an extra $10 for a roll-away bed. The bed pillows are oddly more square-shaped than rectangular, but they worked fine! This is a pet-friendly hotel, so just make sure you request a no-pets room if you need to. We were a large family group and stayed in two different rooms. We had a great experience!

This is a great place to stay. It's clean, in a good location, and best of all pet friendly! The front desk is amazing at making both you and your fur babies feel welcome. I will definitely be staying here again on my travels.Nearby activities: Movie theater

This is where we had our best sleep during our road trip from San Jose to Chicago. And we stayed at various chain hotels the past four nights (Best Western, Motel 6 & Super 8).The location was right outside downtown Omaha (10 mins drive) with plenty of parking spots (easy parking for a U-haul towing a vehicle). It is next to the AMC theater, so more parking spots if needed.Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. We were given a room on the 4th floor. You do hear some trucks passing on the highway occasionally, but otherwise, it was really quiet. The room was spacious, with very comfortable bedding and pillows. A full-size fridge was provided in the room, but you’d need to bring pots, plates, and utensils if you plan on cooking. The shower pressure was strong, and everything was clean. This is a great hotel to stay at, especially given the rate per night. Breakfast is extra, but there are options to eat elsewhere around the hotel. There was also an indoor pool that we didn’t get to use. I highly recommend this hotel.
