“Like to come here for unique clothes at great prices. Love the fact that their clothes are different than any other place in the area. I've only encountered friendly, helpful staff.”

“Went there for the first time during a visit to Coralville, last week. It was very clean, well organized, color coded (!!) and all the clothes had the same clear plastic hangers (if you know, you know!). Fantastic selection of clothes from high end stores. Found exactly what I was looking for and some additional bonus items. They seemed a little short staffed but the checkout line still moved quickly. I will make it a point to visit them every time I’m in town.”

“This is usually where I take the kids to do restock clothing trips. We are foster parents so we frequently bring kids to stuff's when they need a whole new wardrobe. The last time we done a restocking trip I filled the closets for three kids for $500! Not too bad for play clothes, school clothes, shoes, coats, hoodies, dress clothes, etc. And since it's a consignment store they have lots of trendy options to choose from and clothing designs for everyone. The only down sides are: if you are allergic to tide or other similar laundry soaps do be aware that you may start getting itchy and sniffly while in the store. Obviously this is a personal issue and won't apply to everyone, but just be aware that it is in the air! My eyes nose and skin all get very itchy. But on that note, this applies to all secondhand stores. The only specific downside is that you do need to watch prices! Sometimes prices are higher at stuffs than they would be brand new. For instance, I seen a cup you can buy at Dollar tree hanging up in stuffs for $2.16. so it would have been cheaper to buy new in the store. Their shoe prices have definitely gone up. And they are definitely pricing name brands high for being second hand. The increase in prices has only been recent so keep an eye out for that to make sure you're actually saving money.”

“Plato's Closet in Coralville is a nice, clean, well-stocked consignment store with friendly employees. Clothing items are organized by size and color. With a focus on clothing, the store doesn't have the sprawling clutter of larger consignment stores with many types of products. Because they specialize in clothing, it seems like the quality and selection are better than general purpose consignment stores.”
