What a disappointing experience it was living here. Staff is extremely rude and will act like you are an inconvenience when you go to pick up your package, Matt is especially rude, lazy and unprofessional, (he will either send you an automated response or just not respond at all if you have any concerns), the parking garage is EXTREMELY unsafe, an accident waiting to happen, (it is a ONE WAY parking garage with no mirrors to see if a car is coming from the opposite way around the corner, and no speed controls), the fire alarms went off multiple times in the middle of the night, and lastly, when you move in the place will be filthy, but then you will get charged for it when you move out. The place is already overpriced enough as it is, (for VERY low quality furniture, painting, electronics, sinks, toilets, etc.) but then they will continue to take your money, not to mention for a TINY apartment with very uncomfortable furniture, while the dryer/washer/and dish washer all didn't work every other week. Don't let the pool trick you into living here, it is not worth it. My roommates and I are furious. This place is a complete POS.

Maintenance did an awesome job with helping mount my TV. They were timely, and efficient. It was easy to request as well

This five star review is ONLY for the 5 girls in the front that do EVERYTHING. Organize packages, coordinate maintenance request, answer questions, do showings, create mixers/events and clarify information.
The higher management is detached, difficult, arrogant and rude. They refuse to corporate for small requests but then try to ask you to leave early for $22 a day incentive.

The entire Banks staff was very helpful during the application process. I wasn't able to come up for a tour, but they were able to accommodate and send pictures. The application process itself went very smoothly. I am excited to move in!

I have heard many GREAT things about The Banks Student Living! I first heard about the amazing amenities they have to offer and that is what first got me hooked into wanting to sign a lease and live here for my first ever year in Iowa City! After I went for a tour my roommate and I fell in LOVE! I felt safe & I know I will have the best of times living here! We are both so excited for move in day and getting to see more of what The Banks has to offer! ?

I have heard a lot of good things about The Banks. Personally, I’ve been there couple of times as a guest of a friend and I saw how good the amenities are from the units, rooms and to its common spaces. I am excited to move in, I cannot wait to experience it as a resident rather than just a guest. The application process is so smooth that I finished it in a few hours +++ their special offers are really amazing!

I am moving into the apartment this month. Although I have not officially moved in yet, I am already impressed by the amenities and the luxury of the apartment as well as the amazing staff being so helpful!

My experience at the Banks has been overall very positive. I can tell that the staff continue to make improvements based on tenant feedback. The amenities are usually well maintained and the staff puts on events fairly frequently. Despite the 5-star rating, I do think the parking garage cost is a bit much.

The staff here is great ! They always go above and beyond, I’ve lived a lot of different places and have never been met with such care kindness and commitment to make sure I’m comfortable. They have worked with me and have very practical principles here which makes living nice and comfortable. I find this award to be well deserved
