never has my prescriptions filled, always says they’ll be no longer than 96 hours and to call with troubles, but all they can ever tell me is they’re having trouble ordering it, so great i’ll just go without the medication i need daily, hyvee is the worst pharmacy

This pharmacy continues to be disappointing, today is the second instance they have really let my child down. Unless Al McFadden deals with the medicine, it's an aggravation. Today (Friday), I had my daughter's doctor refill a script for allergy meds earlier in the day. By 6:30 pm, I hadn't heard from Hyvee, so I called to check on the refill. She (my daughter) requires a 5 mg pill. Because the pills small size, she can swallow it. I called today to ask about the status. I was told my insurance would not pay, so the pharmacy made the decision to not pursue it any further. I don't mind paying the whole $12.72. The tech then advised I buy over the counter 10 and cut it. My daughter won't swallow a cut pill, which is WHY I have the 5 pill in place. Nobody from the pharmacy called to ask if it was okay to override my Doctor's script. On the upside, the tech I spoke with (Logan) realized I was pretty upset. I will say in the end, they got the script in the following day. Logan did warn me it might not make it until Sunday as it wasn't ordered, but I have a feeling when he realized I wanted my written script, he figured out how to get it in sooner. On a side note, if you compare over the counter allergy medicine with my $12.72 medicine - the pricing is almost identical. 2/4/24 Update - Thank you for your response, I have send a copy to the email you posted. 2/23 Al did reach out to me on Feb 5th, and he had a very logical explanation. Most people that have meds that can also be bought over the counter (in addition to having them prescribed) often choose buying it over the counter. Hyvee pharmacy doesn't have time to check with every single customer when this happens due to the general labor shortage. He is an excellent communicator, and does really care about pharmacy customers. I can get on board with their labor and time restraints, but I can tell you going forward on my account it's noted to call me in the future so I can make the decision, rather than the pharmacist on duty. I was actually in there today and picked up medicine and walked out the door without paying for it by mistake. It was also due to my labor shortage with a sick kid at home while also being sick. He didn't call the police on me, he just called for my credit card, which I felt was really decent of him.

Some insensitive young woman had the nerve to tell me that an antibiotic wouldn't help my daughter's UTI and she could just wait until the morning when they gave me the wrong prescription. Then she hung up on me and turned off their phones. As soon as I find out her name, I'm posting it here. She clearly has never had a UTI herself and had to suffer all night long. I'm waiting for a call back from the manager on behalf of their incompetent staff.

I have repeatedly encountered issues trying to obtain a specific medication at Hy-Vee pharmacies in the Iowa City area, despite it being available at other pharmacies. Unfortunately, I am unable to reach my doctor to transfer the prescription elsewhere or explore alternative medications. I'm deeply frustrated by the customer service I've received and the lack of consistent information provided.

Staff is rude and unwilling to help. Filled my prescription that i normally get through another pharmacy- ended up paying 3x my normal rate and nobody would help figure out why.The pharmacist just walked away.

Just OMG...... the beer selection. Best I've seen in the area since moving to Iowa City a year or so ago. If you like 2x and 3x IPAs, well, here you go. They have Black State and plenty of others that rival NorCal, SoCal, Chicago, Oregon and other. You're paying for it, (up to $8 a can), but you only live once.

I've spent 10s of thousands of dollars here. A rude young man on the telephone has changed that. I asked to have a prescription pulled, instead he decided to tell me what to do, repeatedly. Then said he would pull it, and lied to my face. It wasn't pulled. Looking elsewhere.

Today I purchased a few items went to cashier Deborah N. Still spent over $60. I noticed that this cashier charged me twice for one bag of potatoes and three times for 2 cases of squirt. Almost back to back. When I told her she overcharged me she had a smile on her face? REALLY? Maybe she thought it was funny but I certainly didn't. She was going to charge me 14$ over what I bought. Not very professional to laugh when you make the same mistake twice. I was very unhappy and frustrated. I immediately called the store customer service. I mentioned her name and the rep knew exactly who I was talking about and she tells me this person does not speak English very well. Not a VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE and I'm sure nothing will be done about this inappropriate response. Very disappointing.

I love shopping at the Crosspark location. My other option is the North Dodge store. Ugh! This store has WAY more choice, numerous brands, fresh bread, restaurants, deli, ice, plenty of checkout attendants. The variety in produce is awesome. The meat department will go out of their way to get what you want! Clean, bright, friendly.

I never had an issue with getting my rx filled here until tonight. When I drove to the drive thru to pick them up, the young lady who was working there was very to rude to me. Accused me of rolling my eyes at her, slammed the phone on me, and gave me complete attitude. All this just over accusing me that I didn't say I had "two" rx to pick up when I rolled up. Which I did, said my name and DOB. Terrible customer service ever I that I had there. I parked, went in and demanded to talk to management. Unfortunately, the manager was unavailable. Hopefully tomorrow, I will be talking to them. It is giving second thoughts of taking my business elsewhere. Another employee named Tatum talked to me and apologized to me for that woman's actions, still does not make it right to talk to someone like that.

Went to the pharmacy to pick prescription. It got done wrong for the second time they were great and said they were going to fix it if I had to go shop I could do that and come back in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later got a call saying it would be done in 10 minutes so I go over there after 10 minutes and ask for it they said it's not done. Told them i jus got a call saying it would be done in 10 minutes. The worker was super rude and said your jus going to have to wait after i already waited for an hour. So not only did they mess it up, one worker was super rude about it. They also need to get there alert system more accurate cuz you get texts saying it's done and it's actually not. (Only gave 2 stars because they were super nice to begin with and jus one worker was rude when i went back.)

Pharmacy on Crosspark in Coralville leaves a lot to be desired. Recorded messages don’t indicate which family members prescription is ready and even if you routinely pick up multiple medications on the same day each month they’re never all ready at the same time and you wait (sometimes for excessive amounts of time).They have mixed up our insurance information (a typo on their part which resulted in system stating our insurance was not valid) and overcharged us for prescriptions, not catching it until it was pointed out, and even at that time no apology or refund was offered. More training for their associates is definitely needed.
