“Right from the time we walked in, we were met by smiles and welcoming service.The provided dinner was thoughtfully put out and very tasty. The meal comes with a 3 free drink card. Everyone serving was exceptionally polite and helpful. I will be back!Rooms: I can't say anything about other rooms, but ours was well thought out. Enough chairs for two. Comfortable beds. Beautiful shower. Large tv.”

“This is a nicer BW, and it's relatively new. It looks like some details in the general areas, elevator, and rooms still need to be finished, i.e., trim work, paint touch up, etc.
The rooms were nice sized with beautiful, modern fixtures.
The breakfast was a disappointment. A container of quaker oats was on the counter for you to make yourself, but where was the hot water? Water and juices were luke warm.

“A good basic hotel stay near campus in Iowa City. The beds are firm, but comfortable. The breakfast was pretty basic, but they had all the stuff needed (eggs, sausages, waffles). We stayed here and walked to Carver Arena, an easy trek, so a good location for sure. All in all, a pretty good place to stay!”

Could have been a little cleaner, but seemed as if it was a super busy location.Desk agent was super efficient at check in, even giving us something from the snack shop for our loyalty rewards. Nice touch.Room was good and surprisingly quiet for first floor. Needs a few small things done maintenance wise, but nothing major.Breakfast was ok. Would have enjoyed more options. “Our family was passing through and needed a quick overnight. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly, attentive and helpful. He saw our boys in soccer uniforms and offered them waters, incredibly kind gesture. The lobby and main area was clean and welcoming. Our room was exactly what we needed for the night. The hotel was quiet, even being next to the highway, I was surprised we couldn’t hear it. Breakfast was great, fully stocked and the attendant was lovely and worked very hard. She even distracted a crying baby so his parents could eat. Exceptional customer service. Thank you!”

“Stayed for a week on a business trip. Never been to Cedar Rapids before and Heidi the concierge at the front desk went out of her way to recommend great places to for our team eat and some local trails within walking distance that I could explore nearby! I would recommend the Radisson to anyone traveling for business in the Cedar Rapids area.”

“My sister and I stayed here on the first night of our road trip as it is very conveniently right off I-80. Upon getting out of the car, there was a very weird smell outside although that cannot really be traced back to the hotel. We were also getting slightly weird vibes however the second we walked inside we were immediately reassured. The inside is quiet, clean and comfortable. The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I also had to call a couple times to add notes to my reservation prior to check-in and he was always the same on the phone as in person.

When we entered the room, any lingering doubt we had was erased. The beds were clean and very comfortable to sleep in with full warm comforters in comparison to other hotels that typically only provide thin blankets/quilts. There were plenty of towels (4 of each type) and the water pressure was the best we’ve ever had, not only in a hotel but ever.

Breakfast the next morning had a very good variety of delicious food (HIGHLY recommend the potatos!!) and they have drinks available 24/7. Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked very nice and clean as well.

The only things we agreed that could’ve made our experience better was if there was a gym and an elevator as we were on the second floor however these are minor things and overall our experience exceeded our expectations!! We will be back!”

“Stayed at this location last week for one night until I was able to fly back home to FL after the storm. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and it's so convenient. Rooms are clean and the staff is fantastic!”

“So this is bottom of the barrel as other reviewers suggested, however once you embraced it and lean into the trashiness it is a lot of fun. Will your room smell like smoke? Probably. Will there be burn holes in the blankets? Most likely. Will there be a threatening sign in the bathroom about the towel being UV tagged so you don't steal? Yes but that's also so absurd that it is hilarious. Keep your expectations low and instead of complaining just laugh and you will have a great time. I'll be honest, this is a POS motel but for some reason my family and I have made this our go to hotel whenever in Iowa City. Is it sad? Again, yes. But is it fun? Also yes.”
