Arrived on 4/16/24 at around 12:55pm to 1pm. The RUDE guy REFUSED TO MOVE THE CART A LITTLE CLOSER So I could empty contents in my bags into the cart ( I needed to keep my bags). I ASKED HIM TO MOVE the CART CLOSER, he said “I NEED TO HOLD IT DUE TO the wind”, then he pulled the cart inside beyond the slider doors as I was trying to still unload and fight the wind (which blew 2 bags away after I finally emptied them and trying to put them in the car .)
He then let go of the cart once inside and he just then disappeared - he went inside the bldg beyond where the slider doors are and did so before I had everything out of my SUV and into the cart!
The guy never said thank you, never asked if he could help in any way, never helped at all, never offered a receipt. Just disappeared!
I hope Goodwill has a camera and mic! This guy needs to be FIRED OR retrained and shadowed!
Im not an older person but I can’t imagine someone older than me having to experience this guy!
I will NOT GO BACK to this Goodwill!
I will be donating my good stuff (I don’t donate junk) to RED CROSS as they will do home pick up! Which is what I should have done this time - I was just wanting to the get the bags of stuff gone and out of the way!
One light bulb did break because he pulled the cart inside and an item I was carrying from the car inside the slider doors dropped inside the cart breaking the bulb!
This guy ruins the reputation Goodwill has providing employment opportunities for people with life challenges/ disabilities! He should not be working with the public unless shadowed and retrained on how to be respectful and helpful!

I am greatly disappointed how they price their LP Records sometimes more than $2 if it is something I would actually enjoy listening to. Yet I am noticing that some are priced close to what they would sell for brand new at places like Barnes and Noble. My guess is they screen things before they go out for sale and look them up online and think just because they are worth my time that they are worth more money regardless of condition they are in. I am not paying $10 $15 $30 for music I could buy brand new for the same price. Bands also don't get royalties for used albums BTW. Shame on you for price gouging Goodwill. Biden 2024!

$78 for a pair of secondhand snow pants? I looked up the same pair on eBay and the same ones are only listed $35 and below. What is goodwill doing? Please don't answer me with how goodwill spends their money, it's not really an excuse.

Priced like a resale shop not like a thrift store.

I've enjoyed shopping at Goodwill because the staff are great, the store clean, and there's a great selection of items - this location in particular is one of my favorites. However, I found this particular Halloween decoration - not a donation, but a promoted item - to be in extraordinarily poor taste. It's dehumanizing, utilizes stereotypes, treats (misrepresented, bastardized) culture as a costume, and a number of other problematic themes...do better.
Picture: A display rack showing multiple severed head decorations mounted on spikes/polew with very dark brown skin and crimped black hair, which could be a poor attempt at deadlocks. The skin is withered and drawn, and the face is frozen in an unrealistic grimace, exposing a full mouth of teeth. The eyes are sunken and shriveled. The head is wearing a rope headband, which seems an odd and distinctly questionable design choice, given current racial tensions and history.

I love shopping secondhand. Better for the environment, job training and my wallet. It is a little bit hit or miss. Some days it is great other days not so much. I do have to say that some of the prices are insane. More expensive than a comparable new item at Walmart. I think sometimes they forget this is a second hand store.

Donation drop off on this Goodwill location, IS ALWAYS BUSY! Everytime we come and drop off our stuff, the line of cars is always long. I felt bad for the staff there that worked round the clock accepting our donations depsite of the busy days. I wish they have their own donation centers like the other Goodwill in Iowa, or other state like SC where we moved from. It is fast and convenient because they have a separate donation center. I also have been to many Goodwills around the state and this is the Goodwill does not have any. Well, with the growing community surrounding this location I am not surprised why it is always busy. Donation center or another store would be a great addition to Coralville/North Liberty area.

Prices for Ugly Christmas sweaters were the price of a brand new one at Walmart.
