I bought a really nice coat from Eddie Bauer about 18 months ago. Six months into owning it, the zipper started to tear away from the jacket. I followed all wash instructions, and was very gentle with the coat. I took it back to the store and explained it what happened. After a lot of Persistence, they told me they would replace the jacket with the same one. A couple weeks ago, I found myself in a similar situation. I went to buckle my seatbelt and caught a small piece of fabric on the buckle and the jacket ripped again. I went back to Eddie Bauer and explained what happened and they said they couldn't do anything. I understand misuse, but if the item rips on the rounded part of a seat belt, it seems like the material is too delicate for the price I paid. I am sad to say that I will not buy future products from them.

Nice, friendly staff. Ok stock and selection. Generally good quality of items. Computer systems are from the 1980s, very cumbersome process of handling online returns.

Stylish and functional merchandise at reasonable prices, they have regular sales which makes Eddie bauer's more affordable then north face or Patagonia, but is comparable in quailty.
