This is the former Cedar Rapids Marriott. I don't know when the Marriott was purchased but you can see the temporary Radisson sign. First, this has a beautiful public atrium. Seven floors. There is a restaurant and a bar - both are large and advertised to be open 5-11pm. Imagine our dismay and disappointment to be told they closed at 8pm! We specifically stayed here instead of the Holiday Inn across the street where I am a gold member to enjoy a drink and snack after holiday shopping. We were told by the Chilis bartender whenever they have an event, they close early or don't open. There was a huge kids hockey event at the hotel - kids were everywhere - no biggie to us but some guests were not happy. As for the rooms, they are well kept BUT no fridge or microwave! Shower drain was slow. Also there is NO free breakfast. Bed was meh and oddly low to the floor. We are waiting to see if there is daily room cleaning/stocking - I bet not. IF the restaurant is open they have a $15 buffet and menu. For the $10 difference between this Raddison and Holiday Inn - we should have stayed at the Inn. There are several hotels in this area. Shop around.

Stayed for a week on a business trip. Never been to Cedar Rapids before and Heidi the concierge at the front desk went out of her way to recommend great places to for our team eat and some local trails within walking distance that I could explore nearby! I would recommend the Radisson to anyone traveling for business in the Cedar Rapids area.

Dead roach in room. Unsble to get a towel to save our lives. Had to take the one towel they gave each of us and go to laundromat so we could have clean towels. Shower so cold it was barely tolerable, no matter the time of day. Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. Well worth more money to stay someplace else.

BEDBUG ALERT!! Our room had bedbugs, my friend was all ate up with bedbug bites. And, despite the management in the middle of the night saying they would refund our room, they refused to offer a refund.

The bed was very comfortable. The staff was kind and efficient. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the towels and bed. Everything was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the pool!

When we arrived, we were told that the hotel over-booked and didn't have a room for us. We were moved to the Hampton which was a nice hotel. The problem was that it was very cold out and we had parked the car and already unloaded our luggage.

We booked this hotel through Agoda to enjoy a pool and HOT TUB. We saw the hot tub in the pictures on Agoda AND on the Radisson website. The hotel is just meh for being called a Radisson. We saw where the hot tub was before as it was filled with cement. When I decided to check out within 15 minutes we were denied a refund. I had to contact Agoda and Radisson corporate and fight for a refund. We moved across the street to the Drury Inn. We were blown away by the quality cleanliness hospitality and they even had free drinks and food in the evening. Mr. Davis (the manager) was on vacation all the way through Christmas and New Years and did not even respond to my message or email. AVOID this one.

Issues: 1. The hotel and their third-party platform seems to have discrepancy in terms of price charged. Be sure to check your receipt upon check-out to ensure everything is charged correctly. 2. The hotel would advertise giving you special perks such as VIP access via Expedia but perks may not be fully useful. For example, 20% off food and beverages may not be needed when a guest arrives late and the hotel's restaurant is closed and breakfast is complimentary. VIP perks better to be customized towards each guest's needs and preferences. 3. The check-out staff, Michael, was smoking outside when I was waiting in the lobby to check-out. Would be better to pay attention on lobby traffic flow and be attentive when guests arrive the lobby, especially during morning check-out time. 4. Uncleanliness - food trashes underneath the bathroom sink towel rack, hairs found on the pillow, and a corner in the bathroom in a harder to clean corner. 5. Smooth and fast check-in by Natalie, but Natalie did not communicate the issues to the staff, Spencer, who she sent to my room to fix uncleanliness issues. Would be better she explained to Spencer first. 6. The room is a bit dark, and the facility is on an older side. Would be great to add more lights. Positives: Raised the issue, Natalie listened and sent Spencer to come clean and cleaned well, problem solved. Easy parking. Spacious room. Good location. Quiet. Overall service: Spencer was most professional and solves issues, followed by Natalie. Michael had passive attitude, when I asked him to protect my information by placing it in a secure place rather than exposing at the check-in counter, he got a bit upset and defensive. When a room is unclean, it's hard for me to assign a high rating even though other categories may have done very well.

Accommodations were great. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Quiet, couldn't hear the neighbors. Location was close to our wedding venue outdoors. Great experience at the Radisson. Only negative short staffed as everywhere as the trash by the elevator on the floor was there our entire stay.

The first room we were given was very cold and we were unable to change the thermostat, there was a very musty smell and the carpet outside of the bathroom was damp. The hotel did give us a different room, but it still had a musty smell. These are issues I expect to see in budget hotels, not in a hotel like the Radisson. I called and left a message for the manager so I could make sure that he was aware of the issues, but he never returned my call.

Disgusting! The smell in the room is like stale cigarette smoke from the last 20 years. The bathrooms have so much mildew and smell like a sewer. Then to top it off the towel I grabbed had nasty stains! I will never stay at a radisson again! Pay a little extra and stay anywhere but here.

The Radisson Hotel has friendly and helpful staff members. Staying here while attending a business event was great. Food supplied was tasty. After hours was quiet even though there was group of us ladies attending. I could not hear the next room or if someone was in the hall.

Clean, big rooms. Beds were awesome. Breakfast hot and good. All staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay again. Sad the hot tub wasn't open, but that's ok. Close to everything, easy to find.

My son's basketball team was assigned to the Radisson for a tournament last weekend. The bad reviews had me nervous and wanting to switch hotels. Front desk: everyone was welcoming, kind, helpfulRooms: dated walls, but clean and comfortable. One note- each bed only has two pillows, so bring one of you like extras! Pool: nice sized, WARM pool with plenty of seatingFree Breakfast: biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, eggs, meats, variety of fruits, waffle maker and other basics- all so good! Showers: dispite other reviews, everyone on the team said they had hot showers all weekend Location: easy access and less than a mile from X-treme arena where we played all weekend Other: restaurant was good and reasonable priced, no bugs in our room, fitness center was basic but treadmill worked wellOverall can't beat the quality and amenities for the price!
