I was able to stop in the shop last summer. Highly recommend that!! It was somewhat surreal walking in, seeing the parts of the shop you've seen on line and then Heidi walks up to greet me! I had a wonderful time working with her pulling fabric for a Christmas quilt. Make the effort to stop; definitely worth it!
Hen & Chicks Studio is a full-service quilt shop in Conrad, Iowa. We also have two fully-equipped retreat centers for scrapbookers and quilters to be creative. The Nest is our second-floor retreat center, directly above the quilt shop. There is a staircase to get to the retreat center and sleeping is dormitory-style sleep. The Nest accommodates 12 guests. The Coop is our ground-level retreat center and accommodates 8 guests. There are two bedrooms, each with four twin beds. To watch videos and see pictures of both retreat centers, go to our website.
