The receptionist Jen was great when I came, very friendly and welcoming! The room was really nice and clean. The fire pit outside was well needed!

We enjoyed our stay at this centrally located hotel for what we wanted to do while in Des Moines. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly. Our room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We will stay again when in the area.

My husband and I have been here multiple times and each time they have been exceptionally nice and I'm gone Way Beyond expectations it's nice when you go somewhere and they remember your faces.

The place was clean, comfortable, and staffed by people who do a good job. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic (not just coffee and doughnuts... we are talking a REAL BREAKFAST with eggs, biscuits and gravy, and other great stuff) the Hot Tub was may FAVORITE part by far. Will stay again, and would recommend you do so as well.

The RUDEST front desk person I have ever encountered! My husband works for a major airline company and I travel all over the world so I deal with a variety of personalities and backgrounds but have never been treatly so poorly as I was today (10/13/23 around 4pm). I flew from Switzerland to DSM to visit family for a day before returning to Austin, TX and planned to have three adults and two children (age 1 and 2) come by the hotel to have pizza and swim. The front desk person advised that we could have pizza but that my guests were "not allowed in the pool area". I said that there would only be two people swimming but was told that I would have to upgrade to a two bed room (from my single king) to allow my visitors to enter the pool area. I said that they live locally and didn't need to spend the night and she said that that was the only option and that the rules were "common knowledge." Yet when I asked where on the website it mentioned this information she responded with "there's no room to put it." Lies. Hotels list plenty of rules and disclaimers! Then she proceeded to tell me "there's other hotels in the area." And that's exactly what I did, booked a different hotel and had a wonderful evening with my family who were allowed in the pool area. :) So much for "Iowa Nice" at the Wildwood Lodge in Clive! Shame on you for being in a customer service industry!!!!!!

Had a very nice stay here. Decent breakfast, very clean room. Wish we could stay here longer. Close to gas station and restaurants. I booked through agoda and got good deal.

Driving through the area with our dog and found the Wildwood Lodge on a "pet friendly hotel near me" Google search. Room was big and clean. Price was fair and their $20 pet fee was much less then the $75 pet fees ? in the downtown Des Moines area! A bunch of food available nearby and definietly not as crowded trying to get around. Would come back in a "dogbeat".

I'm on a work road trip with my wife, this is by far the best hotel we've stayed at on the whole trip! Price is affordable for how nice it is, staff is friendly and helpful and it's very clean!

My husband and I love to stay at Wildwood Lodge! The staff is extremely courteous, the rooms are very clean, and the breakfast can’t be beat!Nearby activities: Location is great for anything you want to do in the Des Moines area. Very close to The Machine Shed restaurant, which is always a must.Food & drinks: If you can think of your favorite food(s) for breakfast, they have it!

Very friendly place! All the staff was great and so hospitable. Room was nice and had a mini-fridge, which is always helpful. Lovely gathering room on the main level and a nice breakfast was part of the stay. All around, a great experience! (And I got to meet a cat in a leash in the lobby before we left, so that's just great ?)

Stopped here over night for a trip back from Colorado to Chicago. Rooms were well stocked and clean. All three interactions with different front desk clerks were outstanding; very friendly and very helpful.

We stay here every year on our way north. Easy access to the interstate. Restaurants very nearby. Good boat trailer parking, rooms clean, and the front desk personnel are very welcoming and helpful.Rooms: Spacious and clean. Comfy beds.Safety: Parking lot is well lit.Food & drinks: Several sit down and fast food restaurants nearby.

The pool and hot tub here were awesome. The board game section was a nice touch also. Very family friendly!

Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was good but we are in Iowa surprised there was no bacon or sausage with breakfast.
