This is our second visit in a month & the care continues to be excellent! We saw Alexis, Vet Tech, today & she answered our questions & was extremely knowledgeable. Dr Anderson popped out to the lobby to touch base & she is also extraordinary! Such great customer service & our dog is treated with incredible kindness. Thank you! & I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clinic!

I did not see notification that the service choice when setting an appointment also determines a guaranteed time to be seen versus you are "fit in" for that time slot. We were seen between 2 other patients, told we may wait for an hour to be seen. Now I know, however this was frustrating without having had that transparency. 3 stars as the actual service from individuals was swift, concise and answered all my questions kindly.

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They answer any questions I have, big or small. They make sure my pets are well taken care of. I also appreciate their willingness to be upfront with cost and walk me through everything in my pet’s care!

We love coming here! My dog Frankie is obsessed with Alexis (seen below is his attempt at a smile that he does whenever he's excited- not a growl!!!) and quite literally melts into her every time he sees her. Everyone at the clinic takes such good care of him and always goes above and beyond in their treatment, communication and compassion. They always remember names, little quirks (like Frankie's smile) and ensure that the pets feel safe and comfortable. They have made it an atmosphere that Frankie enjoys - which has not been the case at other places!
My dogs are my whole world and I trust Vetco, especially Alexis and Dr. Andersen, wholeheartedly!

Overpriced. Recommend all kinds of up sales that were unnecessary. They charge a whopping $70 exam fee. Appointment took an hour and 15 minutes. Will NEVER go back. Wouldn't honor a coupon either. I tried it because I have the waste of money Vital Care Rewards. I'm seriously considering switching to Petsmart or Chewy.

Dr Andersen and the staff are great with my dog, Biscuit! We go here every time we have an appointment. They understand she is anxious when going to the vet, so they do everything they can to make her comfortable and safe. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient!

We took our cat and Alexis, the nurse, and Dr. Anderson, the vet, where superbly attentive to him, making him feel at ease, which helped as we was extremely anxious, and taking careful time to explain their observations and answer our questions. I wish my own doctors were as attentive!

Went in for routine check up and vaccines and was treated with such kindness. The nurses and doctor listened to any concerns I had. They always make sure to give my doggos extra loves and pets.

Dr. Stoeker and technician Alexis, RVT were absolutely wonderful with my boy Guinness. He had a suture pop open from a surgery and they were so great about explaining everything, handled my boy with positivity (he loved them) and reasonably priced. I was so appreciative of their help! I could just tell they truly cared and loved my joy so much having just met him.

Dr. Anderson and her tech Sarah did a fantastic job on the diagnosis for my 13 year old cat Lightning. A great urgent care for when you can't get into your regular vet.

The vet team here at Vetco on Buffalo Rd is great, always friendly and helpful. Today’s vet tech was Alexis and as usual she was fast, friendly and efficient. The team is the only reason I keep bringing my dogs back time and time again. Not a fan of the constant corporate policy changes but that is Petco related and not on the staff. Reasonably priced services too for the most part. Will keep coming back as long as this team stays there ?

I set up a vaccination at the petco in Ames only to find out if u get a vaccination you automatically are disqualified for ANY 1st time new pet care discounts. They give you a coupon then say you can't use it as you are not "new" anymore. Seems like a scam to me. Won't go to for ANY vet or vaccination as they are more pricey than other places. Only went cause it was faster to get into and in Ames. This Vetco lied to me and said I could use my coupons, found out I couldn't AFTER I booked an appointment.
