Went here for an oil change. They were quick and I had a good coupon. However, Christopher was very rude with me. Very bad customer service experience. I felt like I was walking on eggshells around him because I was worried he would get mad at me if I said the wrong thing and I didn't want to upset him. He was very short-tempered and snappy with me for absolutely no reason.

Went home and immediately told my husband how impressed I was with the entire staff and the main gentleman that was orchestrating it all. He runs a tight shop and it shows! Everyone was friendly, having fun at work while staying safe, I saw safety glasses on everyone, they announced what they were doing at every step and best of all- I didn’t have to get out of the car!

Called to check out pricing for oil changes and check on a sale they’re running. Employee who answered the phone immediately gave me attitude and told me he doesn’t keep track of coupons. I told him no worries and thank you so much for his help and he had already hung up on me. Definitely will never take my business here lmfao.

In checking out the reviews to see if they are accurate, I took my car in for an oil change and radiator flush. Well the reviews are true to form. This is one of the top oil changing places in the Des Moines area. The staff has a plethora of experienced technicians who seem to take pride in their work. The General Manager (Rodney) seems to place the customer first. Great job!

Warning - Stay Away! Took my vehicle in for simple oil change as I had done for many years and ended up with excessive oil in the crankcase resulting in a $400 parts bill plus labor. Manager Rob and regional Amber denied a damage claim saying it couldn’t be proven that it was their fault due to the time it took for me to report the damage. I was on a trip one week after service when oil pressure sensor failed. Reported the following weekend after return. Started to investigate and found the damage documented below. Valvoline crew were the only ones pouring excess oil into my vehicle’s engine and the people responsible for this damage including so much excess oil it made its way into the intake manifold. They didn’t even care to review the pictures I took here prior to denying my damage claim. Their mechanic who looked over my vehicle said they are good for three similar claims a week. You can now all judge for yourselves. If you want them anywhere near your vehicle. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place if you care about quality, honesty, and corporate responsibility. Horrible way to treat a fifteen year customer who allowed them to service multiple vehicles. Off to Legal it goes.Service: Oil change

Even though the Valvoline staff could not perform the service I needed for my car (alternator problem), they all helped me diagnose the issue. My wife took her Kia in for an oil change. I noticed oil on my garage floor and in the driveway. Popped the hood and there was oil splashed on the engine and soaked up by the engine cover. Oil was leaking from the pan bolt and the filter housing. The shop also didn’t bother to put all the fasteners back on after the job was done. Last visit to any Valvoline location. Had prior issues with another location who accidentally put oil in the wrong place. Had to spend $300 to fix it. Of course, they denied any wrong doing. Seeing reviews that seems to be a theme.When I arrived today there wasn’t anyone who acknowledged me pulling in like normal. Not a huge deal, but usually they have a preference where you should go. Pull in and the person who does all the talking couldn’t figure out how to scan the car in. I told him how and he said no. He looked further and I mentioned it again. I’ve been here many times… Thankfully another worker showed him the same thing I did and it was correct.He then gets me all the way to paying for an oil change when the service hasn’t even begun nor was I even asked why I was there. I mentioned I needed a new headlight. He didn’t know how to charge for that. They start looking at the headlight (4 people). One person is trying to unscrew parts from under the hood! They then say they needed to take the bumper off to change a headlight. I was stunned. The access is in the wheel well. I drive an Equinox a very common car. I told them I’d have it done elsewhere. AKA I’ll just do it because I know how and the bulb needed. Which they also didn’t know. They also didn’t check lights etc. like normal.Now I’m terrified the oil change wasn’t done correctly. I would not trust this company to touch your vehicle. The convenience is nice, but it’s over priced. Never again. Train your staff better.Service: Oil change

We had an oil change done here and they left my wife with a car that had no oil pressure and they said an oil line had broke. Turns out the oil line they pointed to was a coolant line and they had not put in an oil filter gasket causing all of the engine oil to spray over the engine and told us a week to get it in to a repair shop. Had to fix it in my garage. Called the help line they left here and they had canceled any claim I had with them and gave my number to the area manager but haven't heard from them either several days later.

I used to work for fast lube services as a teenager. I've been here 2 time's . They are quick efficient and honest so far. I am a critical person. My personal experience here I'm basing my review on was Valvoline had checked my battery and advised me that it was going bad. I had a recall on my vehicle repaired at the dealership 2 weeks later and they did one of their multipoint inspections and it said the battery was good. I trusted the dealership. I think it was sometime the next month that the battery completely died. I can get a full service synthetic oil change for under 100$.

Recent visit was a disappointment. Employees were friendly but I had to ask them the check tire pressure, turn signals and headlights and brake lights. I could swear in the past that they topped off wiper fluid. Didn't check my wipers or even ask if i wanted to replace them. When i asked about a transmission flush they said they couldn't do it because they couldn't reach the areas needed without removing parts which I understand but he wasn't helpful in suggesting where to go. (Same with my burnt out headlight). The employee I dealt with was disengaged and rang me up towards the beginning of the oil change which was odd. Usually Valvoline wants to discuss cabin filters and other recommended services based on your mileage but he was just there, barely going through the motions. My previous trips there were excellent but this shift was less then impressive.

Fantastic experience. Super nice and friendly staff. Quick and easy. Didn't try to upsell. Checked all the typical things. Loved the call-out strategy. Overall, great service.
