“This is one of my favorite locations in the metro as it is always clean, and seems to flow efficiently. Almost every time I go someone is offering me a cart and refuses to take a quarter - love that! I leave my quarter in a cart for the next shopper.”

2055 E 1st St, Grimes“Very clean store and had nice variety of items to select. It was good they had self checkouts as I only bought a couple of items and didn’t want to wait in long line.”

8400 Douglas Ave, Urbandale“Clean friendly employees most if the time its pretty stocked. I prefer to have an employee check me out then use self check as it takes away from someone needing a job so no to self check out!!!”
“Great prices. Decent selections. Friendly, competent staff!!!!!I've been an Adli shopper since 1980.I must add, if you remember the old school Aldi, everything has changed!!!Staff are mature, know the store, and are super-helpful!!!”
“Whenever we visit this HyVee store we are greeted by a smile and a friendly hello by every employee we encounter. Everyone is eager to help and they make sure that you find whatever you are looking for. We take our time when we visit, what we call " Our HyVee Store," because it's always a pleasurable experience and we just take our time to enjoy it.”
“Had not been to Aldi's for a while, but they continue to have a very good prices with some of their items. I found each and everything that I was looking for check out was extremely easy. All these is a very affordable store for those that are looking to find good deals on a budget. I will have to go there again”
“The restaurant inside this store has some very good food!! Their Birria Tacos are very good!! Even without the sauce:)Back to the grocery store :) :) The employees are so very kind in my experience. I will have to check out more here:) I like to think I may he able to save some cash with this grocery outlet ? ?”
“It's a small little store in the neighborhood. Depending on what you need, you might not find it. However, what you do find will likely be cheap. I got 4 chicken breast and leg peices for around 5 dollars!!!”
“I like Hy-Vee. Their employees are always willing to help me locate a wayward item.
Sometimes, I have my groceries carried to my car, and for this, I always tip a few dollars, nothing life changing. I was surprised to learn that tipping is quite rare. Bigfoot sightings seem more numerous.
You know a few dollars can really help those kids out!!”
“Store is clean, deli was great, but coming from Michigan, the prices in Iowa are crazy. Without exaggerating I’d spend at least 20-30% less on groceries at Meijer than I would Hy-Vee. That’s why I have to dock a star. Even corn was 12/$8, we are in Iowa, it should be basically free!”
“We stayed at the hotel next door so we popped over a couple times to get drinks/snacks over the weekend. The store was adequately stocked and staff was all very friendly.”
“Kudos to Hy-Vee for having many workers on Wednesday before TG. The parking lot was full but I was able to check out quickly. They were so prepared! Super great customer service!”
“Hy-Vee has always been a nice, clean and friendly place to buy groceries. This location was no exception. Help is always nearby. There are always friendly and polite employees available to help. The cleanest grocery store you'll find.”
“This is one of the smaller Hy-Vee's it has the hometown feel. It might lack on variety but the great customer service that is lacking nowadays can be found here.”
“Straight out of Iowa and this is opened 7 days a week. Has a Wahlburgers inside as well. Love that they call soda "pop." Well spread out and has all that one needs.”
“We had breakfast at HyVee for the second time. Loved it. Marcy, the lady that took our order at the counter and brought our food was so nice and friendly. We love her. Both times I ordered an omelet and it was so fluffy like an omelet should be. The side of fruit was delicious as well. Shout out to the cook for the fluffy omelet!! Most places serve a flat as a pancake omelet. Our new favorite breakfast place.”
“HyVee is generally reliable, but they have a tendency to raise prices and then put items on sale shortly after, which feels a bit like a tactic to draw in customers. Their selection is pretty good overall, but the organic fruits, vegetables, and cheese offerings leave much to be desired. We’ve had several instances where produce went moldy within a day or two, or even came home already spoiled.
One positive feature is their policy of giving you the item for free if there's a pricing error, even if it’s just a cent. I’d heard they discontinued this, but a manager recently told me it’s now up to their discretion. On the bright side, they offer a great selection of gluten-free products, which I really appreciate.
However, some of their choices are puzzling—like placing San Pellegrino waters and Spindrifts in the health section. While Spindrift is fairly healthy since it’s made with real fruit sugar, San Pellegrino contains known chemicals, which doesn’t quite fit-move them to the seltzer water section and put it on the top shelf. Just something to keep in mind!”
“I am doing well for anything that I am able to do based of my knowledge and ability. I will never hesitate to learn if anything is never or unknown if the things is useful and legal for our daily needs.”
