Huge thanks for extraordinary service at Clive X-ray. My online scheduling turned out with a mix up of dates. I was about to leave when Sam Hoover, asked me to give her a few minutes. I completed a bit of paperwork, and then there she was in front of me. She had managed to fit me in for both my mammogram AND my Dexa while I was there! Wow! Both techs were amazing and kind. Thank you Joyce and Lisa and the desk staff! Bravo Ms. Hoover!

Dr Jeffery was amazing ? He made everything easy to understand and the process was smooth as could be. He even suggested a new diet plan to help me with sleep

Been coming to this mercy for years, I come every 3 months for a BC shot. Never needed to make an appointment cause my Dr said I didn’t need to since every single visit takes me 5 mins then I’m out.
It was time for my next shot & I came in today all the way from ankeny & the front desk lady said I needed to make an appointment & it was effective since last week but I never received an email about this notice.
So she denied me going in today & told me my Dr or my nurses were not there anyways. I get a different nurse every now & then, & asked why a nurse couldn’t just do it it for me since like I said it only ever takes me 5 mins per visit. She said it has to be the Drs nurses.
So she set up an appointment for me tmrw, & now I have to drive from ankeny to clive again. If I have to set up an appointment every single time, how do I know what days to come in if they give me a set period of time to come in for my shots? But apparently no available nurse was there today? & top of all of this, she asked me why I came in May for my shot when apparently the system says I was here on April 10th. Even though my last visit was in February. Something is off with their system & there’s clearly some miscommunication between the nurses, doctors, & the front end staff. I drove 30 mins for a shot that usually takes 5 mins, that they couldn’t do for me today even though I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years with no issue in the past. Now I have to make this drive again tmrw, & I just hope they don’t give me anymore issues. I will update this review based on what my nurses say.
Update: my usual nurse told me I don’t need to make an appointment so they probably could’ve gotten me in yesterday but couldn’t spare the 5 mins, but i guess this happens when she’s not there. I understand if they are short staffed, but I only come every 3 months, a half hour drive there & back, for a 5 min shot.
I’ve had other issues with this location such as my Dr telling me every year at my physicals im overweight but it just makes me chuckle honestly. I’ve had a nurse in training have me undress for an papsmear because she said im suppose to get one every year, just for my doctor to come in & tell me she’s wrong it’s every few years & to get dressed again lol. Other than that the front end staff is usually the ones who give me a hard time.
I’m considering changing locations for convenience but I’m changing this 1 star to a 2 star for now only because I really like my usual nurse. She’s always been nice & friendly, & makes me feel comfortable.

Just had my first appointment with Dr. Richards. I’ve never felt so heard with my concerns. He’s a hidden gem in the family clinic. The nurses were just wonderful as well.

I came in for imaging and unsure where to go. Stopped at the main desk, lady never acknowledged me. I figured it out ony own where to go. But not a good experience for a desk that's there to help direct people.

My friend got Covid. Dr.'s assitant called back and asked my friend to call her. However, we tried numerous time to all that phone and the phone is down. It is a joke that a hospital has a phone system like that. I had to visit the clinic to talk with the receptionist. And she said phone system down was not her problem!!!! What can I day? However, I like my Dr. I am just writing to the Clinic, they have to upgrade their essential facilities.

The front desk lady was as cold as she can be same thing with the nurse (Dan I think is his name). They don't look at the patient face at all. Eye contact and smile will be the best they could do in order to make the patient feel welcome.My appointment was at 2:00 pm, today September 15/22 with Dr. Mani.

Have been waiting for an appt for a colonoscopy since March. Was told yesterday it would be 6 months. Asked about other Mercy locations, was told it was like this at all their locations. Need it done, will need to find a non-Mercy provider now. Not good at all.

Had to get a glucose test done here, called in before hand to make sure I was going to the right place, very helpful staff on the phones. Went through the womens health center first where they were able to kindly direct me to the lab. Checked in at the lab with my physicians order and within 10 minutes I was out of there. Chris the lab doctor was very kind and quick with it all. Did not even feel the needle go into my arm. Great bedside manner. Over all good experience for me. :)

There is only one doctor that I like from this location, which I set up an appointment for. Unfortunately, they gave me a different doctor. I had my appointment and about a month later, I called to get a note stating I was there for a doctor's appointment and they refuse to give me one unless I make another appointment. So, I need to spend more money just to get a piece of paper??? I don't think so! This is ridiculous and they make things more difficult than needed just to find ways to get more money. Very disappointed.
