well i should to have seen misty T review first. july 2023 and yea same experience. green meats in the counter. dates on things were old old old. rust on lids, hummm kind of surprised the city or state has not looked in on this one. that health code thing. i thought i was buying some thing safe. but it was old they used to be a cool place to stop in. but in this post pandemic thing. yea pass on this one till they get it back together.

A waster of time and money, as most things sold there are expired. The last time I bought dairy, opened it at home and it has green mold.

Lots of expired food, some things were a few years expired. There are local Bosnian grocery stores in Des Moines have some amazing Russian/eastern European food.

Went there today and bought a few things. EVERYTHING was expired. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home. Here's a few examples of the dates. Some were blank and one had been removed entirely.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I went here. I ran into the same issue as everyone else. Selling expired food as they do they’re waiting for a law suit when they get someone sick. Might be time to turn them into the health department.

We went in and the owner is wonderful! But all the food is expired, mold in all the freezers and on the food/packaging. If they were to clean and pitch the expired stuff I would go again but until then, I won’t go.

The owners are nice enough but the reviews about expired food are very true. Dry goods and alcohol are safe I suppose, but watch everything else. We went last week and bought wafer cookies and we found maggots inside! In addition, cheese we bought was moldy when opened. Very sad but we will probably never go again.

I just purchased food there that went out of date in 2009. Can't get them to answer phone. Went to fax machine. Smells like cat urine in the store. Poor place

All the meats I bought yesterday were expired.I had a nice experience in the store. The smell of smoked fish was pronounced.I was saddened that all our meats were expired by several weeks.If this was an economic choice for local European community I could understand.It feels like either a slowly dying business or a store front who's income isn't based on the meats on display.I wouldn't be surprised to see this place featured in an expose in the future.Market near Merle Hay was so much better.

I went there today and everything that I got from there was expired by more than a year. I got some cookies there and they expired 5 years ago and smelled rancid as soon as I opened them.

all products are low and it is very dirty the store with low products from 2015 caught food smell and mold
