We stayed at Best Western in OKC and Des Moines and were impressed and happy with both facilities. The pancake making machine and yogurt machine with various toppings in Des Moines were greatRooms: Clean and comfortableSafety: We felt safe and secure

Room was nice but I am handicapped and I must sit when I shower. The seat is at the back of shower and shower head is at the front. It would be nice if there was a place to hang the shower head closer to the seat. I can always tell when it was designed by someone who has never been handicapped or had a family member who is handicapped. My only other issue was the towels were very stiff and scratchy.

So that Best Western was nice, except they called me today saying there was damage in the room. There was hole in the bathroom door, looks like someone punched it. The woman says the cleaning people took pictures and said it wasn't there yesterday and that I should've reported it. I get a hotel once a week and they are not perfect, I've never reported anything though. It's not like taking a rental car and assuming damage. I told her I assure you it was there when I got there, in fact I'm stuck in your parking lot, I'll be happy to come show you my hands..lol. She then tried to blame my Gracie, that maybe she jumped up on the door. This hole was towards the top of the door, there's no way a dog could reach that high. Hell, I'm 5'4", I couldn't even reach that high and punch something! I didn't appreciate her tone, even after I said that hole was there, she insisted on blaming me for damage. When I took my key up front I said here you go. She never looked up from her phone or acknowledged me to bid me farewell or nothing. But had the audacity to almost argue with me over a hole that I nor Gracie are physically capable of making. I even wiped out my bathtub and put my towels in the sink and disposed of everything. I literally clean my rooms before I leave them. Maybe she saw it was a CLC lodging card and thought they could make extra money by falsely accusing for damages and try to charge the company. That's messed up. Other than that the hotel itself was nice but it's definitely not truck friendly. Dude said I could park in the back since I was placarded and not able to park on the street. It was all good getting in at 19:00 but I was stuck until 14:30 because you can't maneuver around the islands to get out. Had to wait on the cleaning staff to leave so I could exit out of the front. That was the initial reason I was not planning to return but that's now secondary after that lady called me. She is now the primary reason I won't return.

Can you please tell your staff to stop waking people up hours before checkout. This is the second hotel in two days I've been to where the housekeeping wakes up the guests before checkout. I am on the road and I need sleep, I have an alarm and specifically requested to not be disturbed. Why are you allowing your housekeepers to ruin a perfectly good nights stay by letting them wake the guest before checkout? Stop tapping on door frames with keys, its infuriating, I wanted that extra hour or two of sleep and didn't need help waking up. This is getting obnoxious and next time there will be a note left on the door instructing the housekeeper on when I will be waking up and leaving, because they seem to be getting NO instructions from the front desk about hospitality. If your housekeepers ignore do not disturb, they should be fired because they are prioritizing there schedules over there guests. If that is there job, to ignore the guests and hospitality and instead prioritize how quickly they can clean a floor, well tell me I can avoid your hotel FOREVER. Please just be upfront about it and I can ignore your hotel as an option it would be more honest than pretending to offer a hotel for a given length of stay then interrupting that stay for YOUR convenience. 100% unacceptable. Terrible work Best Western.

Convenient location off of I-80, near a cracker barrel, which was great, and we ended up going to and enjoying dinner greatly, but thats a separate review.Reasons why it lost a star (and part of me wants to deduct 2 stars, but I think the following complaints only warrant one star drop) 1) the room was LOUD. Because of the tile floors theoughout the entire room - no carpeting, we heard the people above us frequently. Annoying, but manageable. What was far more annoying was the sounds from the hall - a very vocal and persistent dog and two children throwing tantrums. Easily heard in our room like the door was wide open. We were traveling with a dog, so I get staying with other dogs, but I hate hearing them, especially when they are persistently yippy (which, to an extent, is also the fault of the owner, but the hotel is not even a little bit soundproof, which is within the hotels control). 2) The beds were too firm - this is a me problem, but I still don't like it, get plusher beds! The room itself was very clean, and the sink was separate from the bathroom, which I LOVE. The pillows were better than the previous best western I stayed at, and there were 4 per bed, plus a throw pillow, which was great to prop my knees.Breakfast had good choices, standard best wetsern breakfast. They had popcorn in the afternoon in the lobby. The outside dog bag dispenser was empty, which is disappointing, but not atypical (and the reason I always bring my own for my dogs). Being close to the outdoor exit and on the ground floor is appreciated when traveling with the dog to make pet relief easier. However, the side exit which was next to our room closes from 11pm-6am... why? It was a mandatory key entry (meaning you had to have a hotel key to enter) anyway, so why lock it? Very frustrating as our dog needed multiple trips outside in the middle of the night that very night in IowaOverall, would stay again despite complaints.

The front desk was smug and inconsiderate of membership status. All of this review is on him. I have stayed here 3 times, and the front desk agent was difficult at best.Rooms: The rooms were clean and well maintained.

Very clean hotel. Can’t be beat with the price. Good location, near the highway and across from gas station and a few restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was a good hot breakfast. Would definitely stay

The hotel is newly remodeled as of September 2023 and looks very nice. Location is near the interstate. Check-in was quick and smooth.

Great hotel! Great breakfast selection! The only reason I put 4 stars is because the pool was ice cold, and the pool/hot tub was the reason we picked this hotel, so it was a pretty big bummer when we couldn't swim unless we wanted to be ice cubes.

We had 2Q suite.Beautiful area for breakfast, separate rooms for kitchen and sitting at tables. There is pancake machine, cappuccino machine, coffee machine, waffle maker and hot stand for eggs in the kitchen.Breakfast was one of the best in BW chain (though what happened to Nutella cups in all BW hotels lately?)Very clean. Nice smell both inside our room and hallway.

We were very disappointed in our stay this time. We have spent time here many times, but don't recall the floors and walks being paper thin. We listened to Baby crying, items being dropped on the floor, and could hear dresser drawers being opened and closed. People knocked on the door, but no one was there when I opened. We actually could hear wind through the window, which we found out that the window was unlocked and open. We were a late check-in, so it's not something we took time to check. Earky in the am, you can hear people talking and moving around in the hallway. We were more exhausted the next morning than when we arrived the night before. ? ???
