I was visiting the area and noticed a problem with the baseplate (for towing my car behind my RV). I called Truck Specialties to ask if they could take care of something like that, he said yes but they were booked until next week. But he said i could bring it by and they could at least take a look to let me know if it was a serious problem or could wait. So i did. A very nice tech took a quick look, confirmed that it was a serious (and potentially very dangerous) problem and they made the time to fix it on the spot. In about two hours I was on my way - safely! The price was very reasonable and the folks there were all very nice to deal with. I couldn't have been happier - or more grateful for the service i got at Truck Specialties.

I was visiting Clear Lake IA and found that the baseplate for my hitch assembly had become unstable. I called Truck Specialities and they said they could take care of it, but they were booked until next week -- but he told me i could bring it by and they could at least tell me if the problem was serious or could wait. I drove over and when the tech looked at it, he said the mounting for the baseplate was close to failure - a very serious problem -- at which point they made the time to fix it right then and there. In maybe two hours, the baseplate was secure and i was on my way. A nice surprise was that the price was very reasonable too. Plus they were very nice to deal with! I couldn't be more pleased with the work - or grateful they took care of it before anything really serious happened.

Didn't have good experience. Waited an hour to have hitch put on vehicle. Only to have them come out and tell me they got the wrong hitch in. Returned in a week to have correct hitch put on. Wrong size hitch was put on vehicle. Won't be a returning customer and will not recommend Truck Specialities.
