They are so friendly at this little store. The candy is soooo good, and you can find quite a variety of other foods. I like to stop by and get some goodies.

This gem is an authentic step back in time to a "mom and pop" grocery store! They have a fantastic deli counter with the best made-to-order sandwiches, cheeses, and delicious homemade salads. Best of all is the candy! The have a huge selection of everyone's current and "old-time" favorites and the best chocolates anywhere. They ship all over the world! Try the giant chocolate Easter eggs or footballs filled with more individual candies. The Turtles and Snappers are fantastic. Stop by Piper's in Chariton, IA and you won't be disappointed.

My wife had gotten me a gift card here and went in to use it. I loved the antiques and the candy and definitely the people here. I hope to visit again soon. The candy is to die for very fresh and too many to choose from lol.

Had a fun day and went to chariton. Went to the square and stumbled upon this. Went in and loved it. Many things to choose from. But my favorite part is the old General Store feels it had. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely have to come in again when we are in Chariton.

??Old Fashioned Small town candy store in Chariton, Iowa. ??They have other items such as canned salsas, jams, popcorn, teas, meats and cheese. Helpful pleasant staff. It's their 120th anniversary! Worth the day trip from Des Moines.

It was like walking into 1950 candy store. Brought back alot of memories. The staff was fun and helpful, spent over $40.00. Was well worth every penny. The chocolate melts were to die for.

This shop was too cute. The candy was delicious and eaten before we even made it home. Was really excited to see the Harry Potter themed candy. So much to look at! Can't wait to be back.
