Clifton is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I knew that an experienced staff was exactly what I needed to help me. He took so much time with me and asked questions and find a great solution to help my arch get the support it needed. He had me run on the treadmill and had me walk to check my gait.I am very impressed. He said it was not a bother that people come in all the time with issues and I told him that’s exactly why I chose them.I was very surprised they sold a nice variety Lululemon yoga clothing. They have staff that specialise in helping to find a perfect fit for sports bras. And of course a great selection of running shoes.

Iowa Running Co. is a high quality business. I've never really written a review like this before because I've never felt obligated to after a business interaction, but I felt compelled to get the word out on this. I would highly recommend this place. They provided me great service, and I can tell that everyone there loves their job because of its positive atmosphere. That all goes without saying they have a great selection of shoes, clothes, and running gear all at a reasonable price! If you're looking to support a local business, and you're in need of updated running equipment, look no further.

Great service. Saw online they had a hard to find cross country spike that my daughter needed before a weekend meet. They took the order and shipped same day on a Monday - had the spikes in hand before the weekend meet. Definitely recommend!

Me and my friend we bought Hoka running shoes from this store the owner which is a very nice and cool guy gave us 2 caps for free .Would definetly go back again .The place is very clean and tidy too.

I am getting back at it and wanted to find a shoe with more cushioning for treadmill and pavement running. Lynette was very knowledgeable of best shoes for my foot type. Very friendly and no pressure. I ended up with a new pair and can’t wait to try them out. I’d highly recommend!

Great customer service!I went in there to get new pair of road shoes after taking a considerable time off of running and not feeling super confident. When asked what i was looking for I somewhat nervously gave the pretty generic answer of “something to run outdoors in and steadily up my mileage.” A short time later I walked out with what ended up being some of my favorite shoes ever.For reasons I don’t think are fair on them to go into publicly I went back 3 weeks later with a small issue.Despite being in the middle of a remodel everyone I talked to was super friendly, helpful, and positive about the situation and got it sorted out for me in no time at all. This is why I go to small businesses and local shops, products are available everywhere, service like this is just not.

I drive to IRC from Des Moines for their shoe selection and customer service. They are extremely knowledgeable and remarkably helpful. I'm a king the moment I walk through their doors, only thing missing is red carpet. WORTH THE DRIVE!

I hardly ever do reviews but I couldn't let this experience go without acknowledgement. First time ever visiting Iowa Running Company and won't be my last. Today's goal was to find my dad the right pair of shoes to improve his everyday life. He spent 40+ years in steel toe boots and has already had a knee and hip replacement. The gentleman who helped us was absolutely amazing. He took my dads measurements and knew exactly what brand/style of shoes would be the best fit for him. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable. I can not say enough good things about this place !!!

I have gone to Iowa Running Company several times. Each time, no matter the employee, they gave me there full attention and got me the perfect shoes for my sport. I have also never had any issues with the shoes, they are good quality, last long, and my feet never hurt when wearing them. I would highly recommend going to the Iowa Running Company, I love going there and you most definitely will too. :)

Jim and Clifton have been invaluable resources to my running success over the years. They have always made sure that I know the latest news on my favorite shoes, as well as made sure I had the funkiest color possible with each version.Beyond shoes they have made game changing recommendations over the years that have helped me perform my best during a run, and recover quickly after. My use of Huma gels, nuun hydration tabs, salt tablets, injinji socks, and the theragun percussive massager were all recommendations from the experts at Iowa Running Co.If you are looking for help picking out the perfect shoe, or looking to solve some other running related puzzle, these guys will be able to help!

I saw they had a great deal on a pair of shoes, so I placed an order online. The order was placed on Sunday, the shoes were in the mail Monday and arrived to me in Florida by Wednesday. There was even a hand written thank you note with the receipt. That's awesome service! Thank you!
