Pretty bad turnout for toys for tots three small bags for a 12 year old yet even employee gets a big bonus this year from all the donations people make to them, as a place meant to help the low income and be organized at it they had no signs up at hawkeye downs to even show where to go.In the past for the same amount of kids they gave out vastly more but it’s curious inside there where house has a lot of donations sitting and a lot in better quality items must be for the employees they are known for it. Of all the years the gym is still a place they use to feed people they haven’t updated anything but their personal vehicles and homes. Not saying they don’t do anything I’m just saying they steal more than they give and take more than they will offer. Got several broken pieces for Christmas gifts for kids….. that’s some good sorting skills

Went in here, looking for some furniture and found a cute gray purse. It had a white tag in it. It was supposed to be half off. The tag was not hooked to the purse, but it was in the purse for 55.99 They took it to the back they were not going to sell it to me for half price which is been 3 and some change when the lady took it back to double check the price they wouldn't give it back to me so they lost a sale on their funky half price sell over not even let me get the purse at all f these people

Having moved here less than a year ago from MI, hubby and I are horrified by the music played in this store. Salvation Army is a Christian charity. Rock music blasting - like "Cherry Bomb," is awful. In all MI Sal's stores, only Christian music is allowed.

One of the worst thrift stores in the Cedar Rapids area. Used to be amazing 2/3 years ago. But they price everything super high, it’s ridiculous the prices you see inside. Used to go all the time, now they are selling hoodies from local high schools for $10.00 and plain white shirts for $4… used. The bathrooms are atrocious , the mens restroom has had a blinking light for the last 3 months, the soap dispensers are broke and there’s dirt all over the toilets. What used to be once a great store, is now a place I will maybe go once a year. What a shame .
