They will give you very little for practically brand new clothing and will sell it for 10xs as much! Employees have gotten ruder. Will not go back

Went in yesterday with two totes full, one that was filled over the top with clothes (probably over 60 items) and the other tote was filled with shoes. I came in around 6 and checked in my items, then my boyfriend and I went to the Fareway to just walk around not even 15 minutes later i get a text saying my items are ready and i knew that they hadn’t even gone through all of the stuff, they literally picked the 3 American Eagle shirts off the top of the tote and gave me $8, which they will sell those shirts for 10x the price they gave me money for which is completely stupid.60% of the clothes were still folded when i brought them to goodwill and the shoes were completely untouched. Needless to say, i will never be going back to sell any clothes there. i could make more money selling my clothes off marketplace or Depop than at a Plato’s closet that gives you $2 per $30 dollar shirt and discards something because of a tiny piece of lint.

Great second hand clothing. Name brand apparel and you will find some things with the tags still on them. If you want a new to you outfit without breaking the bank, this is the place to check out.

Honestly not a bad place to shop if you have a specific color palette and aesthetic in mind. I mostly end up purchasing jeans and the occasional dress from here after searching the racks for thirty to forty five minutes. Prices range from $5 to $25, which with how pricing has spiked at traditional thrift stores like Goodwill, isn’t terrible. The staff are…okay? There isn’t exactly anyone dying to be helpful or even friendly. My experience with attempting to sell was horrendous at best but that seems to be the general consensus of trying to sell anything there. I understand the guidelines for what they’re searching for are extremely specific but when they return your items it seems like they throw a variety of denial reasons until something sticks without providing any genuine feedback.

Went to sell clothes today, Ive sold here many times, no issue. I for sure never had to go back myself to ask if my items were done when I signed up for text. I was in the store for most of the time, walked to another shop down the strip came back walked around in the store for over 10 minutes, no text. I went up to the counter after watching the girls shop for themselves around the store and asked if my order was completed. The girl in all pink, blonde hair and glasses was pretty quick to tell me “Its been done” like I should of known. Another employee-very generous stepped in and took care of me. I dont feel the girl in the pink took the time to go through my items as I had plenty of new American eagle non-worn because I went through weight changes over the year, clothes with tags, all new stuff. I took my $20 for 7 items, now I will take my clothes to Style Encore instead after selling with Platos for over 7 years.

The employees can be rude! They never refold the clothing I take in there to sell it is just wadded up and thrown back into the tote I take it in.

I've noticed a very positive shift in the quality of items selling here recently. There is sooo much to look though, but they've made things better by putting out extra racks and having sales. The girls styling the mannequins do so well! 4 of the items I bought today were on them. They're a little more picky about buying these days but after seeing the items they had for sale for the spring event, it's obvious why they're being picky. Many boutique like items. Shoes were still a little dingy in comparison but I was impressed when walking though today.

I have taking items to this place several times and was turned down I strongly strongly feel that if you’re not between 17 and 21 years of age you’ll be secretly discriminated against, a couple of months ago I tried to go back to take some high top pink and purple Nike shoes in very very very good condition and I was totally shocked that I was offered less than $15,,,I looked the price up online before I went and they was between $99 and $129 new,,,,So with these experiences with this place I will never go back again and I’ll tell all of my friends and my relatives how I’ve been treated several times by this place???????????????

Since new owners the store has really made changes and those changes aren't to accommodate everyone .The racks for one are so fully crammed that it's hard looking through the clothes. When you bring your clothes to sell, they are extremely picky now , compared to old owners. Id never walk out , without selling them 80 or more dollars of clothing. And the most I believe I've made with new owners 30-40 bucks. Also, how's come you can walk in there , say on Mon and sell some of your clothes and what they deny you take and leave . And I've literally went back couple days later with same item(s) and second time they purchased them ?I'm sorry I believe there should only be few workers who just do the buying of clothes and they need to really have knowledge of all the styles and name brands that are in and newer. Cause I've seen them give money to some items that should've been donated for free or be put in a dumpster!Alot of times your workers are too occupied conversating with one another that I don't think their paying attention to what their actually sorting through.I really like shopping at Plato's, cause it's fairly in budget and with the economy going up , everything is more expensive buying brand new . Maybe manager could do some revising on certain things and then I believe the store would be great ! Just my opinion ... And we'll many others as well..
