Well I have to be honest...this initially was not a good review BUT, I will say this...their service manager Melissa Corken did a phenomenal job at rectifying the service that I had initially received. I won't state what happened because I feel that the justice that was performed on her behalf nullifies any feeling I once had. She is a great person and showed me that she was working with great people. Just like all people know...things happen, and I was probably a 1 percent that had the experience that I did. But with the help of Josh Cole (service advisor) any wrong that I felt, was made right and I TRULY appreciate and value that. Thank you so much for all of your help and effort that you both put in to help me. I will most definitely me bringing my car here and TRUST, out of all things that my vehicle is in good hands. Melissa and Josh you both are truly "MIDWEST MAGNIFICENT". Again, thank you for all that you do and dealing with any adverse situation that may occur. You handled everything with tact and professionalism, keep up you good hearted honest work!

My initial review of Chevy land service what is not the best related to communication safety after speaking with Gavin I returned and had my initial safety issues fixed communication is still an issue because they send a text telling you they’re going to keep a regular update to you and I never update you. If you’re going to text someone that you’re going to update them you should update them when the car goes in what’s wrong with it when you find out because people like me have anxiety, and think for sure that something is wrong so Service was great about over backwards to make a right was wrong. Just need to work on the communication.

I will never take my car here again. I had an appointment and was told I had to wait till the following day to get my car looked at because of them being short staffed. You only have one point of contact and if they aren’t available then you have no clue what’s going on. The communication is trash for the price they charge. They have now had my car for 9 days and was told it would be ready by a certain day now that’s pushed back because of short staffed again. That is something they should be honest about up front

I could complain for a page or two about how they are a horrible place to go.. I do not recommend them to anyone. I wish I could give them zero stars..the only thing the manager is good at is avoiding your phone calls and not calling you back.. very expensive and They won’t accept if they made something worse. They won’t admit if they did something wrong.. I’d stop at any auto shop I could before Pat McGrath service center in Cedar RapidsServices: Tires

They do a great job with oil chances and maintaining my 2022 Chevy Malibu. They are competitive with pricing and do a thorough job.

I ordered my Chevy Bolt on September 1st, 2022 and was told when I ordered the Bolt I would get it in 3-6 months, well 7.5 months later and no Bolt. I was also told I would receive monthly updates. In that time period I have received 2 updates that I initiated! "When we know you will know." I have been a customer for 26 years but this service has been atrocious. I need a car and am now ready to move on.Mark Gilbert

I have valid reason to feel completely and utterly disgusted with how I was treated as a customer at Pat McGrath Chevy land In Cedar Rapids, Iowa. That being said There is plenty of room for improvement! I Really hope you don't treat other customers this way. Keeping this short, I Took my work truck, 2005 Silverado w/ 160,000 miles on it to Pat McGrath chevy land as a last resort to fixing my truck. As it was and STILL is randomly going into "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". This is a known issue for these vehicles with no known concrete repair. I also was going to have them perform a wheel alignment while they had it in their possession. Keep in mind I believe in and preform regular Maintenace on all my vehicles/ Toys and never buy bottom shelf parts because it goes against my beliefs in quality. I am mechanically inclined to do just about anything. It's what I do. So, before I walked out the door after dropping my truck off at 12:30 pm 3/22/23 Joshua Cole (service rep) told me it would be $150 for the 1-hour Diagnostic fee and $150 for the wheel alignment. I agreed without resistance and went back to work.. Fast Forward to the end of the day 3:30pm Joshua C. sends me a $1800 estimate for parts. I declined as to my truck already having new parts on it (all OEM standard replacement Parts) Nor were they first set of parts to go on the truck to repair it as to I had tried to fix these issues for the last 2 years. I requested to have the tech just do a throttle relearn procedure and finish the alignment. I needed my vehicle back by end of the day "5:30p.m. their Closing time" for work the next day. I had to take it upon myself to call a friend to pick me up from home and take me to the dealer at 5:30 because Joshua Cole (my service rep) would not return my calls after our last conversation at 3:30. Upon my arrival I was greeted by someone, and they paged my service rep (Joshua Cole.) When he finally showed up to his desk after waiting 20 mins, I was greeted with a DISREPECTFUL attitude, as if I was an inconvenience. He charged me $338.01 for them to perform a visual inspection. When I asked why they didn't perform a throttle relearn procedure Joshua responded with "we didn't know that there were non GM parts on the vehicle so we can't warranty our work". I agreed with him that was fair but requested them to do the relearn procedure anyway (takes 5 mins with their computer) and I would wave their warranty responsibility. He denied my request in a very condisending manner. After I had left, driving back home my truck is still pulling to the right and the steering wheel still not straight. They never performed the Throttle relearn procedure or EVEN ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE ALIGNMENT! To top it off, I had my friend hook up his Snap-on obd2 reader to my truck, they never even cleared the check engine Light codes from when I arrived at 12:30....... so that tells me they didn't even attempt to diagnose the PCM or TCM (power control module, Throttle control module) I paid $338.01 for them to perform a visual inspection, to tell me I didn't have factory parts on the vehicle.........They didn't turn a single wrench or utilize their top of the line General Motors obd2 machine (which is why I went there) to reset the throttle body. I drove away my truck in the Exact Same Condition It was in when I left it with them. This trip to McGrath cost me: *$338.01 for a visual inspection *Mental frustration *2 Hours of pay for missing work and counting because I have to take the truck back to align it *Time away from my family; and counting *Time to go out of my way to formulate this review; because I am not the type of dude to be petty enough to bad mouth others on the internet *my value and amount of trust in GM representees. I want everyone at Pat McGrath chevy land to know I intend to take this matter to your licensing board. If I could leave a -⭐ review I would. so Pat Mcgrath, I award you 1 Star.

The experience was good, the inspection was completed within a couple of hours and the issue was fixed after discussion within the next one hour. Process was clear and hassle-free.

All I needed was a license plate bracket because I was living out of state & they couldn’t even order the correct one. I love out of town & had to make a special trip for this. Not convenient.

Service staff was very accommodating. This was my first time at McGrath. Liked the courtesy transportation. Easy to sign up with my phone. Easy to request a ride back. Took care of my repair and even got done an hour earlier than expected. Won't hesitate to return .

Went in to see about trading my pickup towards a blue sierra GMC Sierra pickup with 160k miles, they had on the lot. Before I even left the lot I could tell there was something wrong with the low gears on the transmission. After further testing on highway speed, verified hard downshifting at lower gears. Went back and the SVC Mgr test drove it and was back in 5 minutes confirming it needed to go to the service shop. Not to mention the bald tires that were on it. When they tried totaling my trucks value their system they try to use to calculate “market value (aka bottom dollar) didn’t even have my trim package in it to ad all the added features, let ALONE THAT IT WAS A DIESEL. Got a call today from my advisor and was told there was nothing wrong with the truck and that “it needed to learn how the new drivers drives”, and that it will go away with 1k miles or so. I laughed. I know just about every mechanical aspect of how vehicles work because that’s all I do at my job M-F. McGrath is a multi billion dollar company and they can’t even take the time to ensure the quality of their equipment is top notch. My entire life from both McGrath and billion, if you want a safe and mechanically sound vehicle before purchasing, I’d highly recommend you stay away from the large dealerships. They don’t take pride in anything but how much money they take from their customers. I feel bad for anyone that doesn’t have the mechanical intelligence I do, and have been screwed over by this dealership.

Being 220 miles from home and at the mercy of services I had never needed, I cannot give enough praise to the service department at McGrath. John was extremely pleasant as was the rest of the staff in the service department, especially given the fact that I had my Great Dane with me. They had me come in immediately and it was only hours later I was back on the road. Everyone was very pleasant, very accommodating in providing shuttle service for me and Pippin and I will be forever grateful that the issues with my Traverse were fixed. A huge THANK YOU to the service department!!!Service: Steering & suspension repair
