Don't waste your time going to the paint department and having to deal with Derek. So many other places to buy paint and not have to deal with Derek berating you for asking a simple question. Would rather go to Sherwin Williams and even pay more money than deal with Derek.

I've been trying to get my fence completed correctly since April 27th, for reference it's been 7 months. Based on the interactions I have had with Josh, the assistant manager, he does not have the time nor patience to listen to his customers frustrations. As I tried to explain to the Lowe's customer service team, I contracted through Lowe's to have a fence and gate built in the backyard. I should have been concerned when no one came out to survey the land but they assured me it would work with an assessor who used our property lines. The original fence had gaps and did not meet expectations. The installer has been back 5 times and can't seem to level the gate. The lock for the gate is not even there. We were told there would be tension wire for our dogs to stay in and as you can see in pictures it was not installed. We have chunks of concrete sticking out of the lawn where my niece has already hurt herself. There's also a picture of the post that is not level with the fence. We have called every 3 days for months. They have refused to take the fence back and refused to do anything other than to have the original installer out. Not to mention, this installer tried to take 550 lbs of extra concrete (Lowe's also has refused to refund the excess materials, what am I going to do with 550 lbs of concrete) which we were charged for. I have had to take off work and walk this man around our fence to tell him how to install it. Based on my experience, there is a lack of communication, customer care and in my opinion, overall competency with this project. I would not recommend Lowe's for your project needs. If they do not meet your expectations, even the simple expectation of a fence that keeps in your dogs, your left holding the bill and trying to fix their mistakes.

Cedar Rapids store on Blairs Ferry is the worst. Customer service does not answer the phone, even though when you go in there are at least 2 or 3 employees at the customer service desk. We had issues with deliveries for an oven and a storm door. The oven was back ordered and it was six months in and we just gave up and got a refund. Ok, they say it's Covid causing all these problems, but why take my money 6 months ago, even for installation and haul away, if you cannot get the product delivered to your customer? Oh, it's the manufacturer's fault and not Lowes. We also ordered storm door and paid up front. We got a call a month later it was in, but guess what? Wrong door. Again, manufacturer's fault, not Lowes, as they will tell you. They finally got the correct door in and we never would have known if I hadn't called the store to check on it. Confusion reigned on whether they even ordered the right door for us and they had to research the matter. Called back, the door is here. Got this info only after a lot of calling and calling and FINALLY getting someone to pick up the phone, only to have it round and round with the "customer service" employee, I use that term loosely, about talking to an actual manager. I am now a customer of Home Depot. Lowes Cedar Rapids lost my business.

I had talked to a nice gentleman in the appliance area about my Samsung microwave that wasn't heating, I was one day but had been dealing with Samsung the first week I bought it but they stopped replying. He told me to bring it back the next day and they would see what they could do. He was busy when I came back with a customer so I went to customer service with everything in hand including my emails with Samsung, I was put in touch with the manager who was rude and unhappy that I was there and I was told that. I only wanted to exchange but they couldn't do that and refunded me the price I paid when I bought the other one it was fifty dollars more, they wanted me to pay the difference. I asked for the manager again and he gave me the same price but was really mad at that point and took off the appliance man I talked with. The manager took him away from his customers and took him to the back room. I felt horrible as I got him in trouble for doing the right thing. We were very disappointed how Lowe's treated us and their employee. We will shop local at a non box store from now on.

Bad service. Placed an order. My card got hacked, app requested me to update new card. I did 5 times. Still said waiting for new for new card info. Called the store 2 times and first person said no problem just change card. I explained I did, said it was OK. Order status still said waiting for new payment. I called again and 2 nd person said all was OK. Checked status and said order canceled. Called 3 TD time spoke to manager Rob and he said all he could do was reorder. He said he would give the product # to the girl. She gets on the phone and asks for the numbers. I should have got more help and understanding. I got violated by the thief and lowes.

Only leaving one star because I have to in order to leave a review. Would prefer 0 stars. I'll start by saying I orderEd a washer on March 19th, today is April 10th and I still have not received my delivery after I have been promised 3 different delivery dates. All of those dates have come and gone with no delivery and no phone call telling me I would not be receiving my washer. Instead I have had to call multiple times, to only be connected to a phone that continually rings with no answer or a customer service person who can't help me and only says a manager will call me back. I've been told now twice that a manger will call me and I have yet to receive a call. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of customer service and anyone who is capable of doing their job at this facility. I have unfortunately given way too much of my money to a store that does not deserve it. I have another large order of appliances set to be delivered at the end of the month that I will now be canceling and I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

This is a great store to come in if you don't need help or a clue what is going on. So i will run in here for spray paint ,gardening supplies, and cleaning supplies. But if i actually need help its very hard to find someone.

I love Lowe's and have had great luck with everything I've purchased from them. HOWEVER, the customer service and wait times are ridiculous!! I was told to call Britt picking up our fridge however no one ever answered. I drove to the store (20mins), walked into the store, and back to the Appliance department when a receptionist finally answered. Luckily someone was walking by and went to find the fridge. Almost an hour later I got the privilege to stand in the return line that went out the front of the store to say I was heard to pick up my fridge and then they would call an expert out to hold it. The expert simply wheeled it out. All that wasted time standing in another line waiting for something I already paid for. Lowe's REALLY need to work on the customer service experience!!!

If they were doing their best during COVID, they would not make up bs, instead they would apologize if that's against their policy not that they can't hand cut the lumber because of a safety feature. This was what was told to me, by a manager of Lowes in cr because their saw was broken. But if you go to that store at anytime to get lumber cut it will be broken. Which why would they not have 2 saws to cut lumber?

Lowe's is usually our first go to hardware store but our experience there yesterday (4th if July) may have changed our minds. We were looking for a patio roller shade to keep the sun off our outdoor patio and found one. It was quite long and we walked toward the nearest checkout where there were 3 women Lowe's employees standing. We approached the register asking if we can use the military discount there and one woman said "Sure, I just need to log on." We headed her way when all of the sudden another woman who must have been her supervisor, dressed up in 4th of July leggings, short skirt and red hair all of the sudden butted in & told us we couldn't check out there we needed to go over to other end to check out! The first woman who told us we could check out there must have felt totally undermined by this younger supervisor girl & she said nothing ( even though she had started logging in to her register already. It seemed totally unnecessary to send us way down to register 12 with a bulky long item. My partner is a Vietnam Vet who fought on the front lines for our country and it was the 4th of July. We were asking for a military discount so she knew he was a vet. Not a very good experience to start our day. It was not only the red head's refusal to let us check out but her extremely bossy attitude that didn't set well. BTW- we have used his military discount at the same register she was refusing us to go to on other occasions.

I used Lowes to install flooring 4 years ago and swore it would be the last time I used them after the experience I had. I relented this year and went out to see about getting a storm door installed. I was told on 6/22 that the installer would call me within 2 doors to measure the door, on 6/28 the installer finally called. He arranged to come between 3 and 5 on 6/30. He never showed, I called the local store and after being transferred 3 times customer service asked if I would like to talk to a manager, that call was not answered so they tried another manager who refused to speak with me and told her to send me to their corporate office. I waited through 2 mins and 30 seconds of announcements before I could enter the information to get to the proper person and then they could not explain why the installer did not show up, they attempted to call him and got no answer but left a message for him to call me. That was yesterday at 5:30pm. He has still not called me, and today I have called corporate 2 times waiting through 5 mins of announcements only to be told their computers are down and they cannot help me. Sad sad state of affairs at Lowes go somewhere else don't step in this place unless you want to be passed around and put off.

This is is the last time we have tried To be waited on here. Went in today to buy not one but two large appliances. Not one person would wait on us. They walked literally around us for 20 min. When we tried to stop and get their attention, the first older grey haired man with glasses looked at us when we asked if they sold freezers (which it shows they you do and are in stock online) literally barked "NO!" And kept walking past us and never came back. We had also had a that we also wanted to for our family room, so we waited and thought ok maybe we can order a freezer, so we continued to wait. My husband was able to get a younger dark hair mans attention and asked if we could order a deep freeze, and he looked at us and said NO and went back to what he was doing. So we left and went to Home Depot where we were treated excellent. We were waiting on within 1 min upon arrival. We bought a lovely Whirlpool stainless refrigerator, that they are delivering tomorrow and a 7.1 HotPoint deep freeze that is on order to be delivered in August. We will never go back to Lowe's again. We walk in with money and ready to purchase. We may be stereotyped by how we look. Shame on you.

Needed more of a product to finish a project and looked it up on the website to see if they had it on hand. Said they did but when I arrived it wasn't there. The inventory was just done but the stock was wrong on this item. They didn't offer to order it for me. Just said they were sorry. Even though this Lowe's is convenient I'll likely not go back. I Like Lowe's but hate people not doing their job.

Doing my first big home improvement project, ordered flooring, and set up my installation date which then the contractor confirmed. The associate Tom than helped me was knowledgable and helpful. That is where the good customer service ended. My scheduled installation was on Saturday...no one showed up. I spent most of that day on the phone with Lowe's trying to figure out what was going on, and was told on my last call that someone would contact me and give me an update. That did not happen. 930 Sunday morning the installers showed up, giving me no explanation. About 530 Sunday they told me they would be coming back Monday. When I got mad I was told "well it's a 2 day job. Which I already knew which was why it was scheduled for Saturday to begin with. I had to take the day off Monday, I live in a secured building, work 30 minutes away and not to mention having strangers alone in my home all day. Towards the end of the day I was told not enough quarter rounds had been ordered, so I called Lowe's and they told me the contractor would be handling it and that he would contact the installers. He never did. 2 hours later after they left and my flooring was not completed. So, again I called Lowe's and they told me the contractor would be calling to set up a time where it could be finished. Again no call and no follow up from Lowe's. It was pretty much the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Lowe's only called me back once, but for the most part I was told I needed to call this person and what to do..really I have to chase down their contractor to finish a job that had already been paid for? My impression was that after I placed the order and gave them money that they no longer had to provide good customer service. As soon as this is paid for I'm cancelling my credit card and taking the rest of my home improvement business to Home depot. I will not be a returning customer and I intend to let all my family and friends know that Lowe's is not a good place to spend money!
