I don't have enough nice things to say about this place! The owner is warm and welcoming, she'll make the chocolates right there at Newbo Market! The chocolates are AMAZING! I am addicted to the salt turtles and my kids can't get enough of the chocolate marshmallows or chocolate dipped candies! I am gluten free and she explained they make the stuff with gluten after the gluten free treats to keep the chocolate from being contaminated.

The truffles are fine, though not remarkable. The honeycomb is lovely; perfect texture and good size. The candy bars are notable: real nougat, with a delightful homemade almost-Snickers, Milky Way and Butterfinger; the ingredients are right there in the label. The only local chocolatier open on Sunday, this was a welcome find in the food hall.

This place has some great truffles!! Stop by and get ya some! I like that she wraps each one individually so you know which is which!! I can personally attest to the fact that these flavors are awesome: cherry, hazelnut, raspberry, lemon, vanilla cupcake and Baileys Irish Cream!! Try them all!! We stopped here while on vacation…would definitely stop again if in the area!!

Great shop. The London Fog truffle was chef's kiss ? Lots of different treats here. Choccy apples, marshmallows, truffles. She also carries macarons from Sandrine.

All of the candies are made on site. I've had their 20 of different products and they all rock. PLUS THEY HAVE VEGAN CHOCOLATE!!!

I love this place! They have awesome truffles including my favorites of raspberry with Chambord and Irish Cream with Baileys. No liquor filled but with a bit of that taste - as good as I’ve had in NYC

If you are in cedar Rapids and haven't had the pleasure of tasting her candies your missing out, lori and her daughter Elizabeth take great pride putting out the best, they do holiday theme candies also, you'll have a hard time eating the mass produced store brands afterwards, they cover the gambit in tasty treats...

The truffles are INCREDIBLE! Each one is individually packaged and labelled, making it easy to try a selection. Each truffle I have tried is distinctly the flavor advertised (tiramisu, cheesecake, cherry, bourbon, raspberry, etc).

Someone just gave me two of the Dark Chocolate Cherry Truffles - OMG! They are better than the chocolate covered cherries of my youth (which no longer really exist). These candies are exquisite!

Lori Ann's Candies are sinfully delicious! While strolling through NewBo Market I noticed that due to COVID-19 many of the stalls were empty. Also, following the power outage from the recent Derecho, the small food service businesses are hurting. It's my personal goal to make sure that I patronize the local businesses in Cedar Rapids. So...for the very first time, I bought some lovely truffles from Lori Ann's Candies. They were very reasonably priced and the flavor assortment was enticing so I got the 10 for $10 assortment. They were really really good! Each one was individually wrapped and labeled so once you get them home it's easy to select the flavor of your choice. The cupcake flavor tasted ...like cupcakes! The wedding cake flavor tasted like....wedding cake and so on! I recommend stopping in and sampling these lovely goodies. Perfect for gift giving! They freeze well too, so you can eat some now and save some for later! I don't buy sweet treats often, but when I do I prefer to get the finest!
