Cedar Rapids, Iowa is lucky enough to have several food banks at multiple times, locations, and days. I can happily report that this food pantry is a step above the rest!When you first arrive inside, you are given a number and a clipboard. You fill out the information on items you do or do not want. This helps speed up the process of getting you in and out. It also makes it a much more organized process. You will be seated at a desk if it happens to be your first time at this food bank. At the desk, you will also be given " coupons" for free milk and eggs. These are to be redeemed at your leisure at a specific location printed on the coupon.Because of the large amount of items as well as volunteers, you are only able to utilize this pantry 24 times in a calendar year. It is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00PM - 3:00PM. It is also located directly on a few bus routes for added convenience.While you wait for your number to be called, you have access to complimentary beverages such as coffee and food items like fruit snacks. This location is kid friendly due to having books on site to fill time as needed.I HIGHLY recommend this food pantry. The waiting time is easy to do to an organized process, an air conditioned building, and complimentary food and drink.

A good place but since the flood inside be careful where you park on the Green Square side. Says u can park but I got a parking ticket 2 weeks ago..

Drove all the way over there cuz website says they're open today, Thursday. Sign on door says open MWF 1-3. Thanks for updating the website. I love using up my gas for no reason when I don't have any money.
