My Shepadoodle had two spots on his leg that he had been licking and biting until they bled. My vet’s office just does well care visits and had no opening for a few weeks, really! The week before I took his sister to the emergency clinic out by the airport for a cut. I paid more than $700 to have it treated, ridiculous. So, I had to find a vet that could treat him as a non-emergency. Heartland did a great job. He had been there before and they got him in right away and examined him. We left with the medication all for less than $100. Great place to bring your pets.

Our 15 year old cat went to the green pasture in the big sky. We are very happy with the care, compassion, professionalism, the price and the beautiful room my family was able to be in to spend our last minutes with Oreo. The best Vet and care givers. Thank you Heartland Animal Hospital.

We put our 18 year old dog down last Friday. It was the hardest thing to do. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel as comfortable as possible! They took very good care of our dog, showed her such love and kindness! Please consider this wonderful place! You won’t regret it!

My dog liked it there...they have beautiful bed side manner. And they are reasonably priced...we got a rabies shot, hid ear infection treated w meds, and an allergy med...and they checked him out for 150. Very reasonably priced cuz vets are expensive!!!!

I love this guy's, my dogs love to go to the vet because they are so nice and warm with them. They make sure the doggies don't suffer while they are visiting the place and there are plenty of hugs and kisses for them. Everyone they have been sick, the vet is promptly to see them and they accommodate the pup if an emergency as the one we had. They even follow up with a call to make sure everything is going fine with the pup. I also like the location, plenty of super close parking spaces. The office is very clean and the receptionist is always super nice . Prices are fair, you can make sure you will not go bankrupt because you want to keep your pets healthy.

The female vet doesn't really like to answer questions ( Acts annoyed if you do) and doesn't give clear answers/explain anything. Feels like she's trying to get you in and out as fast as possible and could care less about your concerns. The other workers there are really nice like the nurses(don’t know the actual job title) but they were often more helpful than the actual vet. Got a copy of my dog's record and there was false information on it.

Heartland got us in in a pinch this morning when my cat was showing signs of a UTI! I typically go to the Anamosa Vet, since I work there part-time, but with the blizzard, I didn't want to risk the drive from CR. As soon as I walked in, a tech came to greet us and took us to a room. She was very thorough, asking about my cat's symptoms and history. It only took a few minutes for Dr. Meaney to come in to do the exam and a urinalysis. My cat is known to be... A jerk, to say the least haha, but he seemed to be comfortable with the tech and doctor despite the situation. I was happy to hear he didn't put up a fight during the UA! Dr. Meaney was very nice. We had a brief conversation about our love for cats and rabbits! Their receptionist answered all my questions upon check-out, she was very easy to talk to! The process from the moment I walked in the building until I left was very quick and seamless. The staff were very kind and took their time with us. I'm very thankful for all their help!
