But there are restaurants in walking distance. There is plenty of open space. This helped entertain our two youngest boys in between events. Overall, we survived and had fun.”
“One of the best hotel experiences I have had period. Not too far from the University of Iowa. Attending a graduation, checking out the college campus, or just visiting your student? Stay here, you won't regret it. GO HAWKS.”
“Was greeted by Tori at the front desk. She was more than helpful from the get go. She helped with everything from making sure I was pleased with my room and gave great directions to everything that cedar rapids had to offer. Definitely will be back to this location anytime visiting Cedar Rapids.”

90 Twixt Town Rd NE, Cedar Rapids“The bar was not open on Saturday night. We sat in the atrium chatting and the lady kicked us out. Closes at 10 PM. We were not loud or disruptive. Too strict of rules. Pool was nice but not allowed to have Any drinks. Not even water. Breakfast was good but they close at 9 AM. Worker told us to leave around 9:15 AM so he could clean up. So many weird rules! Great location and nice hotel but could be less rigid !!!”
“Stayed for 2 nights for a baseball tournament at Tait Cummings Complex which is a short 6-7 minute drive away. A lot of renovations have recently occurred and the pool had just opened back up the day before we arrived which was a great surprise. Front desk was very nice and everything was very clean. They are still working on some lobby renovations but it is minimal inconvenience. They have two rooms next to the lobby opened up with tables and chairs to sit at to eat right now. Breakfast was good, nothing huge, but the basics (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes) as well as waffles, cereals, hard boiled eggs, various breads and bagel, as well as muffins and fruit offerings are bananas and oranges. It was nice to see them offer it at 6am even on the weekend which is not the norm these days so great for the kids playing early morning games needing to be at fields at 7am. Rooms are recently updated and very clean and streamlined. There are no longer closets, but rather an area along the wall with hangers, ironing board, and iron. The rooms are a bit tight with not a lot of room between the end of the bed and the large table/entertainment center, desk unit. Had a dorm fridge which worked well and microwave. TV had good offerings. Bathroom in also nice with a shower/tub unit. This did have a separate light/exhaust fan which is often missing in hotel bathrooms, so that was nice. Lighting at the sink in front of the mirror was great for getting ready. Heating and AC unit worked well. Outside felt safe with a nice parking lot. Hotel is very close to a McDonalds as well as a Caseys gas station. Other restaurants are close. Also not far from a Walmart and Target. We stayed on the 1st floor and it was quiet. Only negative is the beds are extremely firm which made it hard to get comfortable to sleep if you are used to a softer mattress. Overall a great stay though.”
“Came for another visit in April. Was looking for a vending machine because I saw that they just put the breakfast food away. Leo and one of they ladies asked me what I would like, they said no worries, we got you...we're gonna feed you Iowa style ?When they came back out, they handed me 2 to go boxes filled with sausage, eggs, potatoes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, water and juice!! Wow! Those two were amazing!Thank you again, will definitely be back!”
“I stay at the Cedar Rapids Super 8 quite often. Location is convenient, staff is helpful and friendly, price is right, and room is always clean.Rooms: Always clean and comfortable”
“We stayed here on a cross country drive
(Des Moines was way too much $$ and Cedar Rapids reminds us of the great movie w/Ed Helms) Excellent hospitality, great fridge/freezer combo (plus microwave), & we loved the Perkins a few doors down. Sher at the office was so helpful, and is mailing us something we left behind in the room. Free coffee in the am, too.”

622 33rd Ave SW, Cedar Rapids“I'd give them 0 stars if possible. These people will take your money and run with it. I've been charged a 250 cleaning fee for smoking in there rooms multiple times. See but here is what's funny I DONT SMOKE!!! This place should be shutdown stealing from there own customers that's sad. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a homeless person. Don't stay there. They have no pool no breakfast at all even though website and maps say they do.”
“Clean and comfortable. Rooms are decent, beds are comfortable. It is due for a remodle in the next 5 years. Decent hotel for the price. Relatively quiet.Walkability: McDonalds and Caseys gas staion within walking distance.”
“Wonderful hotel. Rooms are great. Service is very hospitable. Beds are super comfy. They will help you with your bags if you ask. It's a teaching hotel run by the community college. It can give any of the big chains a run for their money. There isn't a microwave in the rooms, but don't let that deter you. You have access to one in the lobby.”
