Upon arrival the staff was very friendly. However when I got to my room there was mold and rust in just about every appliance in the room. The heat in my room was not operational (Had the thermostat all the way up to 80 and my thermal gun said it was 62 in the room!) I went to go get a meal from the Cedar grill and the first thing the chef tells me when I walk up to the counter is “Your better off going somewhere else, the quality of food vs the price is outrageous”. This place has went downhill since just last year when I was here around the same time.

Booked a staycation for the kids to swim and have a family slumber party. The hotel staff were kind and responsive! The breakfast was delicious with huge portions. Leo, the restaurant staff, was attentive and had great rapport. He even offered to help me cut up my kids’ food so I could eat sooner. Overall a nice way to have a special time without leaving town!

Miranda at the front desk is outstanding in guest service! Well look for her again!Kelli at the Cedar Grille Bar knows how to care for her guests with warmth and a winning smile!Mark in the kitchen cooked a most excellent meal for us!Thanks, Miranda, Kelli and Mark for a very enjoyable stay!Food & drinks: Except for the breakfast, the meals were excellent. Leo did his best in the dining room at breakfast, but the kitchen took a very long time preparing our meals.

This hotel is filthy and has a bed bug issue. I checked the bed upon arrival and found blood and bed bug feces on the mattress cover. We asked for another room this one was 3 floors above the previous room. Before we moved our items I checked the bed and found the exact same problem. Disgusting. We immediately checked out and checked into the hotel next door. The hotel next door was clean and no problems found. The sign on this hotel isn't even changed correctly. It has Marriott lit up and Radisson in dark lettering over it. Just ridiculous.

We booked this hotel solely for the hot tub. I called twice today to verify it was up and working before I booked a room for tonight. I was told yes both times. We didn’t need to stay the night in Cedar Rapids but always liked this property when it was a Marriott and wanted to relax. Booked room, just got back from pool area and the hot tub was FREEZING! Inquired with front desk and the response was “oh not sure what happened to the out of order sign, but it’s broken”. They said it had been for a while. I even had called at 3pm and was told it was working, at 430pm it was ice cold.I don’t complain often, but we just wasted an entire night paying for a hotel room, which is also so outdated. We could get past that if the hot tub actually worked. Will never stay here again, it’s run down and old, and employees seem like they hate working there. I work in hospitality so I understand things cannot be perfect, but this was unacceptable with no discount or at least a free breakfast coupon. An effort to make things right makes all the difference.

Great location, room was clean with no mystery stains on mattress. Didn’t love that breakfast wasn’t included, but that’s on me for not checking. Fitness room has what you need for a travel workout, staff was friendly. Quiet place (at least tonight) to stay, would come back. Shower pressure was GREAT.

Our shower was fantastic! Made our stay amazing. This hotel is tired. It needs updating. The Raddison bought the old Marriott.... and the sign is awful. During the day it says Radisson however at night the Marriott sign lights up behind the Radisson sign showing through. It's strange. Our service was also very good and super helpful.Rooms: 80's decor, borders, dented lamp shades. Our room was clean with a wonderful shower.Nearby activities: Great location in Cedar Rapids. Very close to restaurants and shopping.

PROS: Clean, comfortable, professional. Room was quiet (6th floor corner room - 1 King suite). It was a good value (booked with Choice points) and the pool / hot tub was very nice. The pool was actually heated and the hot tub was comfortable and well cared for. Chocolates at check in was a nice touch! CONS: The whole place needs a major renovation. It looks like it was a very nice hotel in 1994. Lots of chipped and scratched woodwork, very outdated decor. Trim broken. We stayed in room 636 and the tub had drainage issues and hard water stains. The smoke detector was dangling by the wires. Stains on the shower curtain, rust stains. Older, harsh lighting (feels like grandma's house in the 80's/90's). See pictures. Just a note: We booked with Choice points. The check out clerk said there was a $25 charge for booking with Choice points (and it showed on the receipt). However, when the pending charges cleared it was not charged to my credit card. I'm not sure if someone took care of it, or it was just bad info - but if you see a charge at checkout and booked with Choice points, be sure to ask about it! I know Radisson just merged into Choice rewards recently, so there may be some growing pains.

The location and room rate are good for a travel baseball weekend. No free breakfast, but the atrium is great for people to gather and hang out. The rooms were pretty soundproof - didn’t hear much noise at all. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I was surprised by how outdated and icky the rooms are. We changed rooms once because of the strong choline smell coming into the room from the pool. The second room didn’t have the chlorine smell but was just yuck. The decor looks like what people thought looked high end in the 80s. The furniture is very old and dated and needs a cleaning. Couch was worn and dirty. The tub wasn’t fully clean - I know because when I wiped it w my own Clorox wipes it looked much better. There was a razor cover on the tub ledge. The bed was ok but there were stains on the wall and lampshade that looked like blood. Gross. The third day I noticed ants by the desk - called the front desk to let them know. When we got back to the room, the ants were dead on the windowsill. Maybe they could have wiped them away?

Always a staple when I visit Cedar Rapids for work. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. This time I got to try the breakfast buffet and it brought me back to my childhood before hotel breakfasts tried to nickel and dime every piece. It was delicious and fresh. Leo who worked the station was extremely friendly and professional and made my day start off better than I expected!

I loved Richard the shuttle driver. He took really good care of my boyfriend and I...getting us from point A to Z. I stayed for 2 weeks for business and Miranda was Awesome and very accommodating. She was a joy to see after work every day. The hotel itself could use some updating but it sounds like it has been newly acquired so that is in the works. All-in-all a good stay.Rooms: Rooms need some updating...but nit terrible.Walkability: There are so many places to eat within walking distance, which was nice.

This hotel is nasty. You can smell the roach infestation as soon as you enter the room. We had a reservation 3 months in advance for 2 double beds, when we checked in they only had a single King & a pullout available. The pullout didn’t even come all the way out, couldn’t even sleep on it. Our mini fridge didn’t work, their laundry supposedly went down so we couldn’t get new towels. This hotel is old and outdated. Never again!

Rooms were adequate but seemed small. Wish all rooms had sink outside of bathroom as it makes family morning more complicated without. Bedding was clean. Opened drapes in the morning but couldn’t see out the window due to them needing cleaned.Food & drinks: Leo from the kitchen was amazing and super kind. Very laid back in general and easy for families to enjoy their morning. Food was tasty and good variety to choose from for a quick breakfast.

Leo in the kitchen, for breakfast, was absolutely amazing. He was very attentive. He asked us about where we were from to make conversation, he made sure we didn't have anything on out tables for too long, and he made sure to give us well wishes before we left. Absolutely a great experience. Will come back again.

The hotel is dated but clean. The staff has been exceptional especially Leo in the dining room and chef Dan who helped with allergy issues! The only staff that was not great was the night front desk lady when we checked in. We were very late due to delayed flights, she was quite rude and made us feel like we were wasting her time. Didn’t get her name though. Other than that a pleasant stay.
