The 4th on the bridge is always a blast however since all the music comes from the McGrath Amphitheater now it's just not the same...was better before including the BBQ roundup hasn't been the same...

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 5:30pm and no communication from event planners via Facebook or email. Very disappointing a refund will not be issued for those who chose not to attend due to threatening weather. Not really a balloon glow when the balloons were never lit up. Sounds like another scam by the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival. Be careful not to pre purchase tickets for the music portion of the BBQ Roundup because I'm sure a refund won't be issued for this event either if severe weather is in the area.

2020 fireworks should go on. Why not shoot them from Mt Trashmore or another high up location. so the entire city can see them from their yards? I'm afraid you are creating a huge problem with illegal fireworks it the city.

One of the best firework displays in Iowa. Great viewing areas around the river.

Went to the Picnic In The Park, party of the Freedom Festival events, and was greatly surprised at all of the fun stuff to be had! Music was playing, puppet show and magic show, food vendors... All of it was amazing!

Provide the community a number of family friendly events. Smart people operating the non-profit. They understand how to better the community.

One of the most fun and fabulous multi-week festivals in the Midwest that all my family and friends enjoy leading up to the Fourth of July! It's amazing to see this high level caliber of festival in Iowa hosted by Freedom Festival, a non-profit (although many mistakenly think the festival is put on by the city). Balloon Glow and the Concert/Fireworks are my favorite events, but they are all amazing. See you all there to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Freedom Festival in 2018 - wow!!!
