Very personal with us and our pet. Very clean and controlled waiting room. Very upfront about prices and gives you info to get pet insurance. Small little building big heart. Picked a good place to take care of my pets needs.

Dr. Streeper is very thorough and explains her thought process and why she recommends certain tests and procedure and explains our options very clearly. We never feel rushed. They are great about having openings for emergencies. We moved to the other side of town, but continue to take our cats to them we like their service so well.

The Dr. that took care of Daisy took her time with us, checked her
eyes, ears, teeth, listened to her heart... just as if Daisy was human
VERY nice...
I also take Luna and Callie (our cat) to see Dr, Streeper
She is very good with all my pets!

I have brought my dog here multiple times and my cat once. The first time, I had a great experience and the vet seemed to be very knowledgeable and sincerely wanted to help me figure out my dogs skin and allergy issues. (I do not believe this vet works there anymore, but I wish she did) Dr. Streeper is the vet that has seen my dog and cat the following visits and each time she recommends thousands of dollars of testing and refuses to start small. The last visit with my dog, she took a metal comb to “clean” the eye boogers from my dogs eyes. My dog was TRAUMATIZED. She was not gentle and she kept poking her in her eyeballs with the metal comb. I had to tell her to stop and showed her how to use a warm wash cloth to clean my dogs eyes. She said she thinks my dogs has lupus (she doesn’t) and wanted to do biopsy’s. My dog had a bacterial infection in her mouth. Had I not pushed for antibiotics that appointment, I would have spent 2k in unnecessary tests. After that, I knew I didn’t want to come back to this vet. A couple months later, I noticed blood in my cats urine. As a concerned pet owner, I scheduled an appointment to have my cat seen and I knew I didn’t want to go to Blair’s Ferry Pet Hospital but since it was a place I knew and wanted to get my cat seen ASAP, I scheduled the appointment. I took my cat in and she told me I needed to leave my cat with them to collect a urine sample before they could do anything. I told them absolutely not and I don’t feel comfortable doing that after what she did to my dog. She told me without a sample, there is nothing she can do. After I pressed the issue, she finally prescribed an antibiotic. I will never bring my pets to this vet again and I urge you not to as well. Dr. Streeper does not want to help your pet, she wants to nickel and dime you, and run every test in the book. My cat needed his rabies shot this visit as well, after the chaos of the visit, and the lack of knowledge from Dr Streeper, I told her I would go somewhere else to have it done and she threatened to say “you know it’s illegal to not have his rabies up to date” and stormed out of the room. She is very unprofessional, and I urge you to go elsewhere. I would leave 0 stars if I could.

Our 3 year old poodle was groomed by Ava for the first time. She listened to how I wanted him done and he came out looking perfect. My dog was very nervous when he arrived, but Ava was very gentle with him and he was happy and so handsome when I picked him up!

I have been taking my cat to see Dr Streeper for a little over a year after she assisted took care of my cat when my vet couldn’t get her in to be seen while I was out of the country. I switched to Blair’s Ferry Pet Hospital at this time. Throughout the last year my kitty started to decline and I took her in multiple times because she was not eating and then another time because she had started to limp terribly. This past Thursday J took my 16 year old cat into Dr. Streeper to have a protruding tumor looked at and to be examined as she had not eaten more than 1/2 can of food and a few treats over a period of 3-4 days. Upon examination, Dr Streeper gave me the following options: “we can aspirate the tumor and see what it is, we can remove the lump, we can put a feeding tube in or we can try a stimulant to encourage eating.” My response to all of this, was “then what and I wouldn’t even allow a feeding tube to be placed in myself, let alone a 16 year old cat.” I was not sure what we were trying to accomplish and frankly I was appalled that a feeding tube was even suggested…what about QUALITY OF LIFE!!! The next day, I made arrangements to take my kitty to another Vet and upon examination on Monday, yesterday…my cat was deemed to be very sick with multiple tumors (that Dr. Streeper never even mentioned) and this vet and I discussed quality of life extensively with potential outcomes. My kitty and best friend of 16 years was put down yesterday 2/26 so she would no longer have to starve, puke up anything and everything she ate (if anything) and is no longer suffering in pain that was overlooked because she was purring and seemed to be alert when at the vet. P.S. your animals may become more alert at the vet due to the stress and animals may still purr even if they are dying! I am absolutely disgusted at the inability to recognize when an owner is attempting to advocate and searching for guidance when having to make these kinds of decisions. Nobody wants to put their furry family members down, but more importantly, nobody wants to see them suffer.

I love the small town feel of Blairs Ferry Pet Hospital! We had concerns that our 10 year old dog might have arthritis in her left leg. Dr. Streeper took the time to check her leg over very thoroughly and explained to me what can happen to dogs as they age and what to look for. She was very patient and kind. Her staff was also. And the charge for her service is very reasonable!I highly recommend this Pet Hospital for your beloved pets needs. P.S. They also checked her heart and her ears as one would at a regular doctors office. I had not had that happen before. They also wanted to check her temp too but I didn't think Sami would do well with that. lol

We took our 8 week old "OLDE ENGLISH BULLGOGG". Bindy for her first visit to her new and permanent Vet. It was so wonderful in every way! The entire STAFF is wonderful, and our Doctor made us know that our Baby Bindy was in wonderful hands, she made Bindy love her instantly, because she gave her "treats" with everything she did during her wellness visit. Her next "shot" was given orally, not with the dreaded needle! Bindy weighs 10 pounds and got an "A+" for being in great health! Blairs Ferry Pet Hospital will be Bindy's very special place forever!

My 50lb dog gets very nervous at the vet and the last place we went to wasn't able to complete the test he needed. Blair's Ferry Pet Hospital was able to get everything done that he needed and we both left smiling.
