We haven't seen the beeping carts in a while that are mentioned in the following review.
Good prices! There are some pesky things about Aldi, though.
Usually out of a significant amount of what you put in a pickup order for. Aisles aren't laid out well and it's cramped. Some employees are very nice, some are rude and don't seem to care, unlike the old ALDI on University. Employees regularly "beep" at people with their pickup order shopping cart to get out of the way, that's just one example. Just imagine a car horn honking at you while shopping, over and over again. It's a constant noise you hear in the store, probably because it's so cramped. I miss the old ALDI on University.
3 times on pickup orders we've ordered some individual fruits, but instead received and were charged for bags of fruits. For example, we ordered 6 individual plums and received 6 bags of plums, each containing about 13 plums. Who wants that many plums? We had to return them to the store. I'd think this would be an easy thing to notice when doing an order. After the 3rd time this happened I tried to call the store and ask them pass this on to the workers, but Aldi doesn't give out store phone numbers so you can't contact them. The last time we didn't need to return the fruit and just got a refund.
We'll still shop here probably because it's affordable and they have some good items.

Busy today July 3rd but they made sure shelves ect. We're stocked with demand.

This was my first visit to this location. The aisles were organized well and product grouping was consistent with other Aldi locations. Good selection and variety of products. It is not unusual to see product stacked in the aisles waiting to be stocked, but it seemed every aisle was rather messy around those stacks. Loose paper on the floor is a slip waiting to happen. There are 6 self-checkout registers, all of which were being used as I checked out. There was one cashier, which is not unusual. I did observe at least two employees who appeared to be shopping online orders. Overall, it was a good shopping experience and would have received 5 stars if the aisles were kept neatly. I will shop here again.

Self checkout bad experience with Aldi...
After the store implemented the self checkout systems, we were refused a cashier/traditional checkout. Two other families were also refused traditional checkout at the same time. One of whom walked away without their groceries. The reason given by the employee was that "they had too much to do so, unless it is a cash transaction you have to use the self checkout".
Food quality is good...
Pricing is great...

Went shopping there tonight and they would not check us out. They said they only have self checkout after 6pm if you are paying debit card because she had too much other work to do. So I left my groceries behind and went to Fareway and they gladly checked us out!

They are starting forcing people to use self checkout ift they are paying with a card. I won't be coming back.

It's alright. They had some stuff you don't see in most other stores. They carry a handful of name brand items. I don't think I would shop ot every time.

Not much in the aisle of shame. Had to check myself out as there was only 1 cashier and I didn't want to wait in the long line.

Aldis are great. Supa cheap. Hella neat product on tap. Varying items stocked up week to week. Nice staff at this location and they keep that place clean for my standards. Go shop there if you want to.

I went to the Cedar Falls, IA location, which I do weekly. This time it wasn't good- the automated checkout wouldn't accept cash. Inconvenient but not a big problem. Next, the unit wouldn't take my debit card. So,I pushed the "help" button to have a clerk "figure it out". Nobody showed up! So, I left the groceries and went next door to Walmart. Not good but I got it done.

They are trying to force everyone to use self checkout. Was told today that if you have a card you have to use self checkout. Hoping this isn't the precursor to not accepting cash in the future.
