A hidden gem - such a cool family-owned nursery with an excellent selection of native plants. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Most certainly worth the drive from Des Moines and the surrounding area. This was our first trip but we'll definitely be back in the future!

This nursery is wonderful. I've been adding natives to my gardens the last few years, so finding this place locally was such a treat. They have such a wonderful selection with helpful explanations of the plants habits and photos. Very reasonable prices. The owners are so friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend!

I drive down from Des Moines regularly to collect lots and lots of healthy Natives. Owners have lots of great recommendations. As you drive on to the property you can tell just how many beautiful and healthy their natives are. They have lots of native butterflies and bees that are just swarming (in a lovely non-threatening way) on the property.

Central Iowans this is your one stop shop for all native plants/flowers for Iowa. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about everything they sell. Visiting was like an experience from yesteryear, where it is really ran by the family and they are as friendly as can be. Great prices! Everything I purchased from them is doing really well. They have a list on their website of what they offer. Call ahead if you're set on something specific because of the late spring start. Will definitely be going back!

The BEST place to find NATIVE POLLINATOR PLANTS that we so desperately need right now! Wonderful location in a peaceful rural setting that's very easy to get to from Des Moines. Very low prices. Extremely helpful service with expert knowledge. Call ahead to make sure they're open before you stop by. Get rid of your grass and start planting native pollinators!!

We showed up with a group of high school students working on a pollinator garden just as the owner was about to take off to visit with family. She stuck around to give is a tour of the native pollinator garden she and her husband have been cultivating. She then helped us select plants for our project. She was knowledgeable on the plants they carried and was very helpful. We found a great variety of native plants for our project.

Such a great family owned and operated nursery. So helpful on helping us pick out the perfect variety of native wildflowers and giving us sound advice to start our own pollinator paradise. They even showed us their personal garden and where the worm cast is cultivated. It's a really great setup geared towards organic and native species. We were very impressed! Our little girl had a blast exploring and meeting the fury and fluffy animals around the farm. Definitely support local!

I can't say enough good about this place. I've been doing business with BPN for 3 years now. I love the fact that it is a small family-owned business. Tessa always takes the time to listen to my concerns and make suggestions to make my experience the best it can be. They're passionate about organic gardening, as am.I. Most nurseries I talk to have no idea where their plants come from or what they've been treated with prior to arriving at their store, but that's not the case here. They grow them themselves so they know exactly what has been applied to them! You can trust that they chemical free. Seriously, I have bought between 30 and 40 plants from this Nursery and every one of them arrived in perfect shape and came back the following year. And their prices are great, seriously very competitive. I love this place, just wish I had a bigger yard so I could buy even more!
