Love the way Shane Horn styles my hair! I get many compliments when I travel and say you have to go to "the Shop" in Burlington, Iowa. Best cut in town...the appointment is a spa experience. Decorated with Antiques and family pictures and stained glass window.

Ladies, if your man has an overgrown beard and it you don't enjoy kissing anymore, send him to Shane! He will shape it right up! His beard balm softens the beard and stash so you don't get any pricklies on your face AND it smells amazing! Your man will never look better so make sure he keeps regular appointments at The Shop!

I first went to the Shop back in 2014. Since then, I've gone every single chance I get. I've had horrible experiences with haircuts in the past. Some so bad that I haven't even wanted to go outside.When I first got my hair cut by Shane, I was expecting the same. I picked the Shop on a whim due to how close it was to my house. There were no reviews at the time so I was really flying in blind.When I got there, I was super impressed even by just how it looked. The atmosphere was super laid back, good music was playing, and they even offered me soda.Despite me being a walk in, Shane made sure to even stay after hours to get my hair exactly how I wanted it. I was blown away by how much he wanted to make sure I had a good experience.Since then, I've made it a priority to only get haircuts by him. Even after moving to California, the experience was so great that it made every cut after that feel sub par.I recently moved back and was happy to see that they're doing better than ever. I wouldn't even consider choosing another salon at this point. If you're looking for a stylist that knows what they're doing, makes time to ensure you get what you want, listens to every detail you ask for, and won't butcher your hair, look no further.Services: Hair coloring

My hair hasn't looked better since the first time I dyed it. I went in a hot mess from trying to dye my own hair and Bethany fixed me up in no time. She laid out all of my options and helped me make an informed decision which I really appreciated. The shop is beautiful, the products are high quality, and I will definitely be going back! Super friendly staff, too. Highly recommend.

Since my first review, I've made sure to get my hair cut by Shane any opportunity that I'm able to. When I moved to California he thanked me for his first Yelp Review and gave me my last one on the house. I recently moved back to the area from California and one of the first things I did was get a cut. I feel like I don't even need to say this but it turned out great. I would recommend the Shop to anyone. The atmosphere is awesome and personal, the people are beyond friendly, and the work is out of this world. Shane really goes above and beyond with every single cut I've had. I'm glad to see their business doing well despite covid, and I'm writing this update to ensure I have a place to go to for many more years. If you're like me and you have more hair cut horror stories than you do hair, give this place a chance. You're gonna leave with a great haircut and wonderful conversation.
