Do not use if you work from home. Service is X-Treamly unreliable even in perfect weather. Internet is down on a nearly weekly basis for “planned maintenance” which you (sometimes) get notified about right before they shut internet down for an extended time. I’ve been dropped multiple times while on conference calls and it’s incredibly frustrating. If there are other options - highly consider them.

Just moved here to Burlington Mediacom had me take off of work a couple of days so they could hook me up but never showed up finally got installed then they cut off the internet telling me I went through 400 gigabyte of data meanwhile cable was down at least two for 3 days a week as it is right now cable is down again this is a horrible cable company.. and on to the second month as I intentionally never went online and use it one time I watched two movies and then shut off my Amazon Prime 2 days later I received text message that I was out of data and they would charge me $10 accordingly per 50 GB

Customer Service was unprofessional Not communicating about the outage I've been without internet for 2 weeks and they said that they're gonna send somebody until another 3 days more this is unprofessional even though I pay my bill on time and even before head a time that it's due and then I called Customer service to get some more information and then they said that all their employees are assisting the flood and natural disasters that happen miles away from our community but a person that lives here and their community and their area they can't put him as a priority That is totally unprofessional therefore I will seek different internet if possible terrible service definitely if you ask me

your wifi for gaming is absolutely garbage. Can't even play my tournaments without getting kicked. It would not be a big deal if there was not money involved with these tourneys.....I'm sick of it.

A storm took down the phone line running to my house. Called customer service and the line was fixed the next day. Only problem is, now I don't have an internet connection, which I still had when the line was laying in my yard. And, it's gonna 12 days before a tech can come out. I have never experienced worse service from any company I have ever dealt with. Looks like it's time to find a new internet provider.

I want to tell you about mediacom's poor service. I will definitely stay at home on the appointed day of the Internet installation. In the morning, I received a message that my appointment would be rescheduled for the afternoon. After lunch, they called me and said they couldn't come today. I replied that I was not satisfied with another day, as I did not want to waste another day waiting to install the Internet. In this company, the customer does not have priority. They can just close your meeting. The service staff does not hear the customer, they do not care about the loss of the customer. Therefore, I will have to look for another Internet service provider.

Not sure if the service could be any worse. Lady on the phone was nice enough but having to wait a week to get connected to their awful service is a joke.
update: 6/6/24
A week later and the service is still not connected. Called again and found out that the first lady I had talked to hadn't bothered to schedule an appointment like she said she had. Now we wait another week. This is the most awful service ever!

Sub contractors working in my alley left behind a fair amount of wire and miscellaneous trash doing whatever "maintenance" has been going on for days now. Small wire ranges from an inch long to several feet long. It was all left in a place where it could cause several flat tires. Don't worry Mediacom, I'll clean up after your sub contracted employees. Who should I send a bill to for my time?

Bill went up $75 and when I called the so called *retention* line, they said I should drop them and go to YouTube tv. Been with Mediacom almost 15 years. What a joke. They said they no longer can offer discounts on cable services. Crazy. Who can afford $275 a month for TV and internet? Ridiculous

The only thing I can say is check your bill. Every single month! I was offered free installation but first bill came and I was charged. They did refund me finally after I send a message to corporate and they listened to the phone convo. Then I unknowingly received a “free” 3 months of some tech support thing when signing up. I didn’t realize until the charge came up on my bill. They cancel it but don’t give me a credit for it. Now I get my next months bill and there’s a “one time charge” for 2.00 for a “change fee”. I’ve had to deal with this before with companies but geez they are on top of taking advantage of people who are busy or not familiar with these tactics.

I decided to go ahead and get cable as I had not had cable for over 10 years and I had kept my Mediacom bill paid up in that time I got cable and all the sudden my bill became $500 and they told me that I had a $300 past due bill I said why would you go ahead and hook me up cable if I had $300 past due cable is a scam Mediacom is a scam and they still won't take that money off my account and I even told them to come and get the boxes and everything and their cable boxes I found out they watch you the new devices they give you they have cameras on you and if you read it said that they only take pictures every once in awhile for Google in your living room so watch the boxes you get from Mediacom cuz they do watch you and have cameras in them

I've had flawless service with them, for over 5 years now.I use my own equipment and I don't rent theirs.I have also noticed the price keeps going up, on a regular basis.
