My boyfriend and I split up I had to leave my male Golden retriever Rowman with him as they had been on the farm their entire lives and I felt bad moving them into town to be with me so I let them stay there months after moving my ex boyfriend texted me telling me that my dog had ran off and he had not come home yet that he had been looking for him this happens sometimes as they like to go swimming in the creek so we weren’t crazy worried but as time went on and on and he still did not come home he (my ex) worried that something bad had happened to him I ended up thinking the same as it had been a while….a couple weeks went by in a few friends of mine from the area sent me pictures of a post from the Atlantic animal shelter saying that Rowman was up for adoption I saw him and immediately knew it was him they told me that there was no proof that it was him and they would have to do proof and that I would have to pay for the x-ray as he had a replacement joint surgery I said that was fine my ex-boyfriend went in and was upset that they had neutered our dog due to the bloodline he was a purebred and our oldest golden who was his dad had just passed away that year he was extremely upset that he had been neutered and they got into a verbal argument he was kicked out and the talk of attorneys was brought up I talked ti Kris multiple times and she told me that she would do the x-ray after she heard from the attorney and she would get back to me she never got back to me and later I messaged her again because none of my phone calls were being returned and I was told that I needed to call the city attorney later on the city attorney returned my phone call telling me that my dog had been placed up for adoption and I could not get him back so so sad and how hard of it situation this was it could’ve been a lot different I’m so sad that I do not get my golden retriever back he was the sweetest boy to whoever got to adopt him you are so lucky he is one of a kind and one of the best boys ever he loves swimming he does not like loud noises he loves pig ears from Bomgaars they are his favorite he doesn’t like being alone as he’s never been alone since birth I miss this sweet boy so much and love him dearly and always will it’s a real shame this situation happened the way it did and I hope no one else ever has to go through it his names Rowman Wayne He’s a pure bred papered dog and he’s one of a kind #rowmanthebestboy
