The way they house their hermit crabs is totally inhumane. Hermit crabs are marine animals that require several inches of substrate to burrow, and several gallons of habitat per crab. Instead they have dozens of them in a tiny cage, with no water, no sand, no nothing, except a bunch of other crabs. Additionally, painting their shells is further poor husbandry as the chemicals in the paint can harm the crabs. It's upsetting that they seem to have forgotten that hermit crabs are not just funny little objects, but are instead living, breathing animals that require specialized care in order to thrive. These crabs may be surviving, but they are by no means thriving. By selling them in this manner they aren't setting them up for success either. Do not patronize this shop unless they cease selling hermit crabs.

You don’t get store credit or exchanged for a different clothes. I got two pair of clothes that were to small and they didn’t have any bigger sizes so they said we can’t do anything about it plus they didn’t say they were sorry. All the clothes are smaller then the tag size say plus the clothes are cheap made and too expensive.

Good if you're looking for cheap okoboji stuff. It it says it's 70 percent off but then everything is marked up a ridiculous amount.

I am just new to the Okoboji area and I have never ran into the most polite and helpful employees as I do at this store! Such a wide selection of clothing and memorabilia at very good value at competitive prices! I will be back again!

Unfortunately I seen photos of how the hermit crabs are kept and I'm going to say it's UNACCEPTABLE. Do you not know the basics these guys need? Big tanks, lots of sand yanno maybe a bit of water???? That's just not right. And I'm not pleased with what I seen, I'm sorry but that's animal abuse.

This is the Okoboji Outlet located at the Central Emporium. However, I have also been to a store by the same name in Spirit Lake. Have you ever gone to a University Book Store where the merchandise all seems to be branded t-shirts and related items? Okoboji Outlet is your place these kind of Iowa Great Lakes memories. It's also a good place if you're caught short an item or 2 after the Family arrives on Vacation. There's lots of stuff here, the pricing is reasonable, and it all becomes overwhelming quickly. I usually go in knowing exactly what I want and get out post haste.
