I spoke to someone at the Ankeny branch. I called to ask about a fee I have never seen on my account before. The woman was very condescending and spoke to me like a child. She also told me I was mumbling and then hung up on me before I could ask my other question. I’ve been a customer for 20+ years and now am looking at switching banks.

Worked with Julie and she was SUPER helpful. Thankful to have her as the banker at this branch near my home!

This branch is terrible. Always very understaffed, they don’t know what they are doing half the time, and aren’t very friendly.

Coming from someone who worked at Wells Fargo. I know how you should treat your customers and this location does not do so. Been a customer since 2016 and I will be closing my account because of the ill experience at this location.

They were so considerate and waited for me while I drove from the drive thru to a parking spot and it was already 5pm, which is when they close. My sister was already inside the bank also also waiting for me to come into the bank. They could have said "Sorry, but we're closed", but they didn't!!! I know the Bank that I deal with, definitely would have said that they were closed, no doubt about it!!! I definitely need to leave the bank that I deal with cuz they're really rude most days. They never seem to want to help and I feel that they just don't care! My husband opened the account in 1997, the year that I moved to Iowa, so that's why I haven't left them yet. Might just have to put my money in Wells Fargo Bank!

I called the Wells Fargo ahead of time to make sure someone was there that could sign my insurance check since they hold my home mortgage (unfortunately). I drove an hour to Ankeny just to have the banker Jimmy inform me that the only person who could sign it is out of the office. He then calls Sanita, the branch manager, who basically says too bad, and for me to drive to a different bank in pleasant hill. Extremely disappointing and beyond terrible customer service. Definitely won’t be doing business with this bank moving forward.

Decades ago I was in my employer's "bond a month" program, so I had a big stack of savings bonds that had reached maturity. I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment with a banker to get them cashed, and they said they were not really busy, just bring them in. They were waiting for me, and the head cashier and another cashier started processing the redemptions. (boy, is it complicated to redeem a stack of savings bonds). I am totally impressed by how efficient and friendly the staff was in dealing with this tedious transaction.

Deposit a check. You can have a small portion right away. The rest will be available next day. Your account shows available amount and you make a purchase. Then the bank can decide to pull the check and wait to give you the money for 8 days causing your account to go into the negative. Then they want you to pay fees. I'm currently looking for a new bank. This bank has never once helped me with loans.

Wells Fargo has been disappointing in Ankeny. I came from a smaller town with a very friendly Wells Fargo, but here in Ankeny, I sure feel very unwelcome and even not trusted. Is it the big city impact of people not caring about others or just this Wells Fargo? I have been thinking of moving all of my funds elsewhere. Okay other customers, what is a good trustworthy and friendly bank in Ankeny?

The worst Wells Fargo agency I have ever visited, the people who open an account are the worst I have ever experienced in the entire United States

I pulled up to the drive thru and requested 3 withdrawal slips. The teller then stated i needed to send in my id and card. I told him i would send them in with the withdrawal slips, and he proceeded to demand my id first.I told him that i had been told that i can gettheslips. He then demanded to know if i would be using them today. I said yes,we would, because they won't give out more than you use on the day. This was the biggest hassle i have had here in years.

You have to be truly soleless to work at a place like Wells Fargo. Put a hold on a cashier's check for 2 weeks even though the person legitimately had to purchase said cashier's check. Garbage bank full of garbage people.
