“I came in here today to exchange a $20 bill, as it was really damaged. I've never had to do this before, but had heard banks can accept damaged bills and replace them. It took a bit, as the bill was so badly damaged. They then send it in to have it verified that it's a real bill or not. Friendly staff. Lot parking. I'm kinda surprised there were TWO financial institutions right next to each other.”
“Couldn't ask for better staff! Needed a photo printed for a kids 4-H projects at the fair and needed it tonight! Tucker totally took care of us! Called the photo guy to help us, he immediately was able to print our picture and Tucker checked us out. This customer service is totally worth the drive across town! Give Tucker a slap on the back for being an outstanding person! The world needs more people like these two gentlemen.”
“Last week i called ahead to Affinity CU where I have had an account for years to see if there would be any problems depositing large checks, they said no it would just have to be approved by management. I went directly there and tried to deposit 2 large checks in my account that I have had for years and they denied them saying they would bounce?? I said I was told a manager could approve them. Wasn't offered a manager. Their loss, went to GreenState CU opened a checking, saving and money market accounts there without ever being a customer before. Asked them why they were able to cash the checks and Affinity wouldn't. They said they had no idea because they were both certified checks so they couldn't bounce. GreenState made it very easy and now they get to hold on to my money. Thinking about getting a CD there too.”

“Just moved to Ankeny and started new accounts at Central Bank. The branch manager was extremely helpful explaining the various options available that met our banking needs. All the bank staff are friendly and eager to assist you in whatever you need to accomplish. If this bank had problems in the past the management team has made corrections to make it a very good bank now. We are happy with Central Bank. Give them a try, we think you will be happy too.”
“When I needed a car loan back in 2022, I shopped around and GICU had the best rate (at the time) without requiring me to move over all of my accounts from my old bank, which was a huge relief. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Since then, I've acquired a few CDs, and we recently opened a Home Equity Line of Credit with them - since we used the county assessment value instead of getting an appraisal, we weren't charged ANY fees to open the line, plus there is no annual fee. The HELOC we had at my other bank had a $50 annual fee, even though we haven't been using the line of credit at all for a few years. Great people, great rates, great policies. I would encourage anyone to explore the offerings here and compare them with other financial institutions.”
“After 25 years of banking with a different bank, I switched to Two Rivers earlier this month. I was tired of all the fees at the other bank. The Two Rivers website provided many helpful answers about accounts and services. I like the 50+ checking account option. The customer service on the phone and in person is also excellent. “They were so considerate and waited for me while I drove from the drive thru to a parking spot and it was already 5pm, which is when they close. My sister was already inside the bank also also waiting for me to come into the bank. They could have said "Sorry, but we're closed", but they didn't!!! I know the Bank that I deal with, definitely would have said that they were closed, no doubt about it!!! I definitely need to leave the bank that I deal with cuz they're really rude most days. They never seem to want to help and I feel that they just don't care! My husband opened the account in 1997, the year that I moved to Iowa, so that's why I haven't left them yet. Might just have to put my money in Wells Fargo Bank!”
