Great option for early childcare. The teachers and staff provide an enriching program for my child and they enjoy going to school everyday. Communication is great with a daily summary provided along with an overview of the educational unit covered each day.

Great Daycare/Pre-K program. My kids love it, especially the food, ha. The owners a super nice and very accommodating. Workers all seem to enjoy their job and the kids.

We have loved our time at Primrose. My middle boy has thrived in their pre-k program. I struggled whether to send my summer boy to school or pre-k but Primrose has met him where he is and he has progressed so much this year. My youngest boy loves his teachers and the fire truck playground! The environment is welcoming, friendly, and approachable. Mrs. McVey truly cares for the well-being of the children and staff.

The education and structure has been fantastic for our 3 year old. She is constantly talking about the things she has learned in class. She has consistent teachers that she enjoys. The staff have also quickly gained our trust after having a negative experience elsewhere. We are so happy to have our daughter at Primrose and cannot recommend it enough.

I've heard disappointing things about the ownership and their staff. I would never take my kids here.

We have really enjoyed our time at Primrose. The environment is warm and inviting, there is always someone at the front to greet you, and everyone knows our names. The communication from the leadership team is impressive and always professional, and the daily updates and weekly newsletters keep you very well informed of everything going on. The outdoor areas and playgrounds are amazing, and I absolutely love the little garden that the kids get to help plant and tend. My two year old gets to do all the “messy” things that I want him to be doing at that age (water tables, bubbles, paints, markers). My older kids get to code robots, do science experiments, and make some seriously cool art projects with all the amazing art supplies they are stocked full with and encourage the kids to use creatively. They have done a great job navigating the challenges of the pandemic and have also come up with some neat ideas to involve parents/grandparents in different ways, like inviting grandparents to read books to their grandkids’ classes via zoom, and gathering recipes from families and creating a recipe book that they gifted to everyone over the holidays. I also like that my kids get to be a part of their strong focus on community, with the various book/diaper/food drives they do throughout the year and their nursing home partnership. We love Primrose and trust them with our kids!

We moved our girls to Primrose after using an in-home provider and another center. The difference has been astounding. Our girls love going and are having fun learning. Keeping our girls safe was our top priority, but we have been pleasantly surprised with the extra love and care the Primrose team puts into the entire experience. Fun surprises like coffee and breakfast to go for parents and handling personalized treats for birthdays (so I don't have to remember that part!) are just 2 examples of why Primrose School of Ankeny at Prairie Trail is hands down the BEST in the area. I couldn't recommend it more!

We tried a couple other daycares in Ankeny and didn’t know what we were missing until we started going to Primrose. The quality of care is top notch, and I appreciate the structured curriculum that also integrates play to keep things fun and age appropriate.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We have had our boys in three different daycares (Pittsburgh and Tennessee), so we have a few comparisons. Our boys love going here and we trust them fully to take care of them.
