One of the best gas stations around. I frequent this establishment 3-5 days a week to get my daily fill of freshly cooked breakfast on the go and some caffeine. The staff is always super friendly all of their breakfast items are delicious and would give any casual sit down breakfast place a run for their money.
I am however saddened that the cappuccino machine is often forgotten about maybe they ran out the week I was feeling it, but either way it was empty. They normally are not very busy around 5-6am and it is perfect for a quick stop. Usually occupy the building for less than 3 minutes!

I thoroughly want to give a 5-star review to the nearest Hy-Vee in proximity to my home, but several reasons prevent me. First, they traded out my favorite coffee brand Mahogany for a Pumpkin flavored coffee. I usually choose the University location on University and 92nd because it's sooooo much better. Also, I didn't have the best customer service today, but all my complaints are pretty mild because they offer great food and most the same things all the other Hy-Vee gas stations offer... I'll return, but it's just not quite as good as most the others in the Metro.

Honestly the best FF Burger! grilled fresh right there!! Most definitely better anything in any other convenience stores! Super great attitude with staff.

$150 hold on your debit card for gas is completely unnecessary. Takes at least 3 business days for it to adjust and it costs me less than $40 to fill up.

I'm from Marshalltown. Anytime I come to Ankeny, which is a lot, and I need gas, I always stop here. Clean, well maintained and friendly employees.

I currently work here and there are certain things that don’t work sometimes and management kinda just stays in the back doing their own thing unless the line is backed up which happens about 3 or 4 times a day. As for chip errors or prepay issues some people have mentioned as well as bad attitude I’m usually the one working the counter and if I’m ever rude it’s because you are being impatient or rude with me. The system does not accept multiple payments for prepay to make sure you don’t try to get away with free gas or paying in an illegal way. The register has issues and there are system errors that cause problems and it is very slow. There’s also a lot of things that don’t scan so I usually put in the price or a price that is close (if the line is long) if you perceived me or AJ or Peyton as having bad service you were probably extremely rude or tried something illegal because we are all three extremely friendly attentive and respectful because that’s what we get payed to do.

This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had with the hyvee company in my whole life. I was trying to prepay gas and my credit card approved for a partial balance, I was trying to hand the clerk cash for the remaining balance and she tried to tell me that it wasn’t allowed because I used EBT on my previous order for food items. The other clerk intervened and told me I’m not allowed to use 2 different forms of payment when I prepay “because that’s how the new system works” he refused to give me a receipt showing that he cancelled the order as my card was still showing as pending and they would not accept my cash to pay for my gas... all of this was done with a rotten attitude and needless to say I will never ever bring my business to this gas station ever again.
