5/11/24 appliance install: Ordered a dishwasher and oven, waited 2 weeks for it to come in and get installed. Today it was delivered by the most rag-tag, rushed, overscheduled crew i could have ever imagined. Dishwasher installed slanted as well as crooked with no leveling procedures performed, worst install I've ever seen. Oven was plugged in and shoved back without raising or leveling it to the counter height. Both appliances damaged. Expecting home depot to make it right. I'll modify my review if they do so.

The Ankeny store is a train wreck.Had to hunt down someone to mix paint at 7pm on a week night - was waiting 45 minutes.Tried to buy carpet - no one in the store could get a flooring or manager to assist us at 11 am on a Tuesday afternoon.Went in to do an online return - power out in the store at 4pm.Three strikes.

1¾ STARSeems like every time I go to a H.D. after getting a staff member off their phone finally to talk to me, I find out only 1 person can answer my questions or cut a piece of plywood in half or ect ect ect..... unfortunately they're NEVER working or can't be found! It's always something that takes 15+minutes for someone to respond good or bad. (Excluding Flooring department: 4 star)Helpful Suggestion, Invest more in knowledgeable staff and who have actually worked with their hands before. Almost everyone can search the store with there cellphone and see if something is in stock and where it's located. Staff needs more knowledge than just that.
